Train Wrecks
Our Little Girl Is All Growed Up!

Four short years ago, Amy Winehouse was a track-markless wonder and the only pipes she brought to mind were her vocal chords.

But after a few short lessons with Keith Richards' Guide to Aging, this chanteuse is ready to rock in the afterlife ... any day now.

153. First, for those of you competeing to see who can make the cutest cruel remark,I pray that neither you or your families ever have to go through the horrors of full blown addiction.Second.....why are all the people in her life enabling her to kill herself? It is clearly happening in front of the world! There is no denying and the proof is there for the world to see.How can they allow this to go on?If something happens to her, someone should be held responsible. This young woman is not a piece of trash to be thrown away, but a beautiful child of God.My prayers are with Amy,that she will find her way out of this dark hole she has fallen into.

160. I'm amazed. Everyone keeps saying her family should do something but they DID! Her family told the public NOT to buy the albums, NOT to go to the shows. The public didn't want to hear that! The family can't lock her up, they can't put her in rehab, she's an adult, and as far as we know, she has no such conservatorship as Britney did. As an adult she's responsible for her own actions. All her family can legally do is sit back and watch. Amy will die if she keeps this up, but she apparently dosen't care as long as she can get one more fix. I blame AMY for allowing herself to get this way. She's an adult and knows she shouldn't be doing this, don't doubt that for a second. An addict always knows they should quit, but they feel like they can't. They have to help themselves and if they don't, they eventually will die. maybe she wants that.

161. 131. To those posters who are saying "you cannot make a person get sober," I say, SCREW that. She is mentally incompetent and a danger to herself (and possibly others.) I would risk going to jail if this were my daughter---I'd personally have her kidnapped against her will and I'd put her in a hospital with a 24 hour bodyguard. Stop talking about legalities, people, this is a person who is committing suicide publically. It's disgusting. Someone HAS to intervene

Smartchic: Now you know how the families of addicts all over the world feel. And no, there is not a hospital in the nation that would allow you to force someone to stay there, under guard, without a legal body ordering such. "A danger to self and others" is a very, very high bar when you actually try to prove it. Having taken my suicidal relative to the ER nearly a dozen times before he died, I found that - in the U.S. at least - unless you say "I'm going to kill myself or someone else" daily, you will be released within 72 hours. So, the damaged person learns what the right thing is to say to the evaluators, and after their 1st 72 hour hold, you can never get them committed again. Drug addiction alone, even when the addict is ravaged, is not considered "an imminent, immediate threat to one's own life" as suicide is. The hands of families are tied, unless they want to sit in jail on kidnapping charges while the addict walks out the door to rob their house and sell their stuff for drugs. Really, you people who say "I would just have the committed!" have no idea what you're talking about.

165. Her parents have tried and sent her to rehab 3 times. She just checks herself out. She has emphysema, and the lungs of an 80yr old . Her father has told everyone to boycott her records so that she wouldn't have any more money to buy drugs. She has stated that she is a mess. Her husband has another girlfriend that visits him in jail. She is either going to kill herself, or finally figure it out. I think she is losing the battle.
