33. So sad to hear of this today. He has always, to this day, been the most handsome man I've ever seen...Hollywood or anywhere else. Those blue eyes were just amazing. We lost an amazing actor, as well as a kind and charitable man. My thoughts are with his family. Sad day.

34. Truly a remarkable man. Let's not forget that Joanne and he celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. How often do you hear that in Hollywood?

35. So many people have already said it...he was a class act. So many in Hollywood these days could and should take a page out of his book!!
RIP Paul...you truly were one of the great ones!!

36. Our prayers go out to Paul Newman's family and friends. Although I'm sure he wasn't perfect, this man and many of his generation are a dying breed. They had class, and were from an era of when people had respect for themselves and others, etc. They weren't going around trying to sell their soul and whatever else they could find to make a buck, and stay in the spotlight. He lived a good life and didn't go around like many celebrities today thinking they were above the rest of the people living on the planet; he seemed to be very down to earth despite his fame and money. He didn't have to go out and do things to generate publicity for himself-good or bad. People like him are rare. Look at his marriage, and how long it lasted, especially by Hollywood standards!
If any star deserves a tribute for their life and contributions, it's this man. He was one class act, both professionally, and most probably personally as well. Paul Newman was for sure, one who many understandably and rightfully so looked up too. Many people, especially celebrities of today, could sure take some lessons from this man. He will be greatly missed by many.

39. thanks TMZ
never thought I'd say that
I fell in love with him when I was a teen years 40 ago-and grew to love him more from his integrity and charity
as well as his good looks and the twinkle in his eye
so sad that the actors of today don't seem to measure up
possibly a few like Tom Hanks we will remember this way some day
sad to see Mr Newman leave us
HE WAS AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE...A LEGEND!!

41. My condolences and deepest sympathy to Joanne and the Newman family. He was a Hollywood icon. A bright star is dimmed forever in the Heavens. I don't know what else to say, there are no words to describe the void left by his passing. My heart is truly broken. RIP
P.S. When you get to the pearly gates, tell the rest of the golden Hollywood stars we miss them also. Their talent is gone forever and can never be equaled in today's hollywood.

44. I was saddened to hear this reported today. I grew up in the era of great movies like Cool Hand Luke and Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid. Just doesn't seem right that he would have been 83???
Definitely lost a good one here. R.I.P.
