Heather Locklear's Mug after Arrest

Heather LocklearHeather Locklear was arrested last night in Santa Barbara and booked on suspicion of driving under the influence -- cops think she was on prescription meds.

A resident reported Heather was "driving erratically" while pulling out of a parking lot. The California Highway Patrol then found Locklear's car parked on a state highway and blocking a lane. After talking with her, the officer determined she was under the influence of something and arrested her.

She was tested for drugs and alcohol. As we first reported, law enforcement tells us alcohol was not a factor. They are conducting drug tests.

She was released without having to post bail.

76. This just goes to show what a waste the "war on drugs" has been.

Poor people go to prison for using drugs, rich people go to rehab.

I knew Heather in elementary school. She was a very sweet, and for her age, a very mature girl. But this goes to show that anyone can be driven over the brink by family troubles, and living the Hollywood lifestyle.

Get well, Heather. You are stronger than you think you are.

77. I feel bad for anyone famous or not who suffers from depression. HL up until recently has had a great reputation with people in and out of the industry. I hope she and everyone else who suffers finds peace.

80. Just look at her eyes....she's not even present in this world! Hopefully, this is her bottoming and she'll go into "serious" rehabilitation outside of California. Their daughter is nearing 11 years of age and so needs to have both parents healed so they can assist her in moving through the turbulent teenage years.

82. Clearly she's not right. She has never ever been nor has she ever been accused of being a Spears, Lohan, Hilton type. Hopefully this talented & beautiful woman can get herself back on track. I'm quite surprised that she hasn't been involved in some TV and/or movie project for some time. Maybe if she was occupied by some project she may not have gone down whatever road she is finding herself on now. Who knows, because no one knows what the situation is there.

83. Wow, she does look under the influence of some thing. I think it was medication too and I hope she continues to get the help she needs for the depression. They need to do some thing about her medications because people react differently to certain medications. If Heather needs to continue the medication then she needs to have the doctor lower the doses or have a driver for her so that way she is not endangering herself and others. Get well Heather!

86. Early on, I read that her friends were worried about Jack Wagner being in the picture because he is, supposedly, not a real nice guy. She certainly seems to have taken a nosedive since hooking up with him. I don't think Hollywood is very nice to women over 40--even beautiful ones like Heather. Just look at the comments on this forum. She's not wearing makeup, is clearly distressed, but still is very beautiful and all people can do is trash her hair and say she looks like a druggie. Multiply the snark and nastiness by 100 and you have Hollywood. No wonder she is depressed.

88. Now with ALL of these drug and depression responses, what if it was just a damn bee flying around her head while she was driving and she is allergic to them? As with everything else said in these posts, it is possible. :)

89. Who knows what Heather is taking. If Heather is taking anti depressants she may be on the wrong one. Often mood stabilizers will change your personality. Heather come on over to the Right coast and leave Hollywood. NY is hip, full of
life and the pressure is off. Leave the plastic capital of the world and be yourself.
