Ms. Jackson -- Feelin' Nasty

Janet Jackson was rushed to a hospital yesterday in Montreal and had to cancel her show, according to her reps.

The singer "got suddenly ill" during her sound check, says a statement from W&W Public Relations, and went to an unnamed hospital. She's being monitored, but no other details of her condition are available.

A rep for the concert promoter said they got word just minutes before the gig was supposed to begin -- LL Cool J was the opener.

Jackson cancelled her show in Detroit on Friday also at the last minute, citing "production constraints," and rescheduled.

16. Yeah I was thinking the same thing since her bf was sick too...food poisoning or the flu. Or maybe someone is trying to off them both?

17. Ms. Jackson has a history of working herself into exhaustion and the physical demands of her show are pretty extreme. Still, I really do hope that she and Jermaine do have a little one on the way. J has long stated that she wants children and now that she has a man in her life who works as hard as she does, earns his own money, and doesn't act like the little girly-man she previously hooked up with and had to maintain (Rene Elizondo) maybe she can get down to bidness.

18. I hope she is feeling better soon. I wish she'd make more albums like Rhythm Nation and janet. because she seemed so sweet and the music was so much better. She just needs to break new ground instead of just being like everyone else and having mostly useless words to the latest sounds.

22. Over at the Bell Center, the venue where she was scheduled to perform yesterday, the word is that she learned minutes before the show that 5 000 tickets had been sold (this is a 20 000+ capacity arena) and she backed out. Nobody is interested in her over here in Montreal.

24. She kept her marriage to DeBarge such a secret, I'm surprised she doesn't have 3 kids. She's "big" Janet, then back to "little" Janet. Funny how those "big" times in the past only lasted about 9 months.
