Country singer Sara Evans has gone from Platinum plaques to mangy mullets.
The one time "DWTS" contestant is slated to perform at the the Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival in Niceville, FL later this month. The southern festival says on their official website that "Times have changed, but not the special affinity held by residents for their ever-present mullet." The festival is actually referring to a fish -- not the hairstyle.
Sara Evans must have a lot of free time on her hands -- apparently the beehive festival was booked.

And Proud to Have a Mullet?! And be the Star Performer for that? OMG!
Say what you want. She is a great singer and I think she is hott!!!
Her EX is a PERVERT! Stop sprewing about her!! She's a super nice person with a great voice. That will be a nice time to be in the Sunshine State!
Actually, alot of country stars are from that area. Niceville, FL and Panama City,FL. Which eveyone know Joe Francis , got his start and is from. Its a party town and stars know to go there because of the fan base. All the festival really is, is a Seafood Festival. She is a very talented lady.
#4 - "She's a super nice person ..."
Oh - do you know her personally? Or only the image that is packaged to put out to the public .... as all celebrities do. Some are actually nice ---- but you don't know that.
i am a native of niceville fl. graduated from niceville high school. i have since moved away and miss the atmosphere of this great town.
just so you know, this is a big deal! the band alabama appeared there as well as many other top artists.
the festival always tries to get top talent.
this is not a slam to sara evans career. she is an artist that is performing for a great town and surrounding area.
how many of you have vacationed in destin fl? niceville is only a few miles down the road.
OMg...this actually kinda rude and insulting to us! But im from Niceville....and this fest is big deal, and mullets ( the hair style) have nothing to do with it! There have been a lot of famous people here, even more famous than Sara ( no offense), we have had Kenny Rogers, Alabama, Billy Ray Cyrus, Blake Shelton, Travis Tritt, Lonestar, Craig Morgan, Montgomery Gentry, Diamond Rio, and The Dixie Chicks. We love this time of year and I dont really think that you should be putting her down for coming here!
my, my, what truth dacoits you are:
Only a dumb ass conceited piece of yankee trash would feel the need to explain and mock the fact that a mullet is a fish. Y'all come now , ya heah?
This show has three of the hottest acts in country music right now: Sara Evans, Rodney Atkins and Jason Aldean.
A mullet is a great bait fish. When I lived on the coast, we used it to catch sand trout all the time, and you don't get better eating than sand trout.
This festival sounds like a lot of fun, and I would love to go!!!!!
I live a few short miles from Niceville, and LOVE it here. Yes, we have a festival with a name that is, shall we say, a bit on the tacky side. I think that I will speak for everyone that has been to the Mullet Festival. WE LIKE IT THAT WAY!!! Im so excited to see Sara Evans, Rodney Adkins, and Jason Aldean. The acts get better and better every year. Im glad to live in a place that allows us to get silly drunk and party every year in celebration of a fish. How could life get better? Lay of Sara Evans, she has been through enough the past year. She needs a good party!!!
Having lived in both L.A., California and Niceviulle, Florida, all I
can say is that the festival is HUGE and rivals anything in L.A.
(minus the tinsel-town fanfare). The fact that it doesn't have the
L.A. seal of approval on it is actually a benefit and probably why
their draw is so enormous. Sorry, L.A., but there are standards other
than your own.
They also have the Billy Bowlegs Festival, named after the greatly exaggerated pirate, which is another widely famous and celebrated event. So much for the cocoon people in L.A. must have to live in. Sorry for your ignorance.
