Hillary Clinton Is Well Red
We gave presidential wannabeen Hillary Clinton the chance to outdo Sarah Palin by asking her the tricky "What magazines do you read?" question that's been plaguing the VP contender. But would she take the bait?

31. Sen. Clinton--so Few Delgate? HMM, She WON the Popular Vote.
Yes, MORE americans voted Clinton than Obama.
Delegates--Rigged. She'd get more votes in TX or Nevada and get fewer delegates.

33. There are many stupid and untrue stories going around about Obama. They're just a bunch of lies spread by the desperate Republicans. When I saw the debate last night I wondered how anyone could vote for a doddering old man with his running mate an airhead from Alaska who doesn't even read anything, and is as dumb as a post, it wasn't hard to see who would be a better President. Joe Biden might not be perfect but he is intelligent, experienced and knows what he is supposed to know....you can't even compare him to Caribou Barbie....."wink" "wink"

35. TMZ, please keep your liberal lips off of Hilliary's posterior. I'm guessing half your audience doesn't want to heard anything about politics.

36. Here's a transcript, you decide for yourself how much Palin read beyond Alaska in the past:
------------------
COURIC: And when it comes to establishing your world view, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this -- to stay informed and to understand the world?
PALIN: I've read most of them again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media --
COURIC: But what ones specifically? I'm curious.
PALIN: Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years.
COURIC: Can you name any of them?
PALIN: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news.
-----------------
That's the point where Katie gave up on the question... My own guess is that Palin was just interested in Alaska media earlier but didn't want to admit it. Anybody could come up with at least one national newspaper or magazine if they read it regularly, it wasn't a trick question. I think Palin wasn't focused seriously on national or international events, just on her local politics. She herself mentioned in a much earlier (pre-VP) interview that she had been too busy with Alaska affairs as governor to think much about the Iraq War, for instance, even though her son was headed there. This doesn't mean she's stupid, just uninformed about and uninterested in the rest of the country and the world.
