Brit Goes Near Car - Bad Things Happen

Britney Spears was in a car accident today, but if prosecutors are listening, don't even think about it.

Britney was in the back seat of her Cadillac Escalade, shopping in West Hollywood, when a paparazzi's vehicle lurched forward, striking Brit's vehicle in the rear -- at least that's Brit's version. Photogs are saying her car backed up and hit the papper. Sources say Britney's peeps are filing a police report this afternoon.

The Escalade took a pretty big dent. As far as we know, no one was hurt. Britney went shopping afterward ... at Wasteland on Melrose. Perfect.

32. also, if this was britney's fault (or her driver) why didn't that papp be the one to call the police and file a report? if britney already filed one, and that other guy didn't....then he's @ fault! don't tell me this papp didn't have a cell phone!! i think he rammed the back of her car to get her to turn around so he could take pics! PATHETIC!! you can't just purposely hit someone's car like that...britney or someone else.

33. Isn't there a way that the stars can get a restraining order on any pap that gets near them? I know that I would try to find out. They get all over your car and in your face. You have to have some kind of rights!!

37. Ever seen the movie Paparazzi? I like that movie. Too bad it's only a movie. The Britney special that's suppose to be on television should be interesting. At least we'll get to see it from the other side of the lenses. I for one would not be able to stay as calm as most of the people being photographed and/or filmed.
