If the troopers boss failed to comply and do what was proper and RIGHT, the media would be going after HIM themselves and calling him a racist for defending the loose cannon of a trooper and wondering WHY (and HOW) can he get away with NOT complying with the Governors request???

However, in this case, it's a conservative woman, running for VP and the victims are related and of no concern to the mass community, no racism charges are viable here, so it's just BAD BAD Governor Palin instead...shame, shame! What has he done in his political career that just AMAZES you so much that you feel THIS is the guy? What are his most OUTSTANDING credentials that make you feel he can strengthen our economy, make Islamic extremists stop f@king with us, and get other foreign U.S. HATERS to start lovin' us again? What's his plan to straighten out the immigration problem? Welfare? Health care? Do you think he'll make abortions LEGAL again? OH WAIT...they already are and that hasn't changed in all of that crazy religious nut Bush's 8 years! Will he let homo's marry each other like heteros now...is that the main issue for YOU?

Why not lay it out for us here, and be a little more specific about what it is you think OBAMA is so good at and qualified in, to be out next President, rather than just spewing more typical liberal hate against the opposition with more liberal fairy tales of gloom and doom and destruction if McCain and Palin win?

339. I get the feeling that it's more about Obama's "COOL" factor than it is anything about his REAL experience and qualifications.

The idea of having a BLACK President seems to be exciting and even interesting to some, and it also puts up the illusion of combating all the negative images of the U.S. (that the media has helped to build on) that we're racist and intolerant and EVIL. having a Black President step in will appear (to his supporters) to say "HEY..look WORLD, we're better people now, SEE, we elected a BLACK guy!"

Maybe it's more of a racist thing (on the liberals part) to be thinking that just because Obama is BLACK and had a MUSLIM father, that he can go over to the middle east and end all of their HATE on not only us, but maybe each other? Like they'll think "hey, he's almost one of us, so we'll change our ways now..thank you Obama, for showing us the path of righteousness...all hail OBAMA, our semi Muslim Brother from the West!"

What add-on rules and governance we have must be carefully considered and only be in place to assure rational law, fairness, accountability and equality. Then there are the reasonable add-ons for which we are taxed: public school, roads, etc.

Given what a primitive thing humans devolve into given total freedom with no accountability, we know what laisez-faire capitalism produces; abuse, murder, waste, destruction, social and cultural disintegration, etc. .............we need to know democracy is working, by being smart about lots more than election system verification.
