Witnesses Say Gerard Was Provoked

So we just told you the LAPD is investigating whether Gerard Butler kicked a paparazzi's ass yesterday. Well, there's more to this story.

Sources tell us witnesses have now come forward with a very different account. They are saying the papper was tailing Gerard for hours. And, they say, the photog was driving "recklessly" as he "chased" Butler's limo, almost hitting several pedestrians. The photog says he endangered no one.

The witnesses say after Gerard allegedly got out of the limo and struck the photog in the face, the photog continued following Butler for more than an hour before going to the hospital. But the agency the photog works for says Gerard struck the dude at 1:45 AM and he was at the cop shop at 2:10 AM.

And, we're told, the photog spoke with a civil lawyer before contacting cops.

66. Why does anyone have any sympathy for Gerard Butler? He wanted this gig. He wanted to be a bigtime Hollywood movie star. He got his wish, and you know the saying, if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. He's living the life of a Hollywood playboy and whining because paparazzi bother him. He is foolish to waste energy on hating them or attacking them. The paparazzi don't care a rat's ass about him. Make no mistake about that. They are simply making a living, and in many cases a very good one, giving the public what the public wants. Sure, they are like prostitutes, but you can't blame prostitutes for making a living as long as there is a market for what they sell. Craig Ferguson is looking really good lately. A funny, warm, smart and seemingly decent Scot who became an American citizen, although God knows why he would want to sign on with this crazy motley crew. Butler is looking less and less like someone we need in this country. I hope he decides to go home soon.

68. Good for Gerard! IF, the story that the razzi is telling is true, Then ROCK ON! Gerard should've curbstomped him! These razzi's are vultures. They don't care who they hurt, or who they harm as long as they get a picture. It's disgusting the way they act, especially, when even knowing that the person is a razzi, Gerard will stop and pose for a couple of pictures before moving on and requesting he be left to his life. I hope the guy he knows in LA county can investigate the claims and file them where they need to go, In the toilet with the rest of the $@%&!

Thanks so much for taking the time to read all my posts. And thanks for the reward. I'll be sure to say hi to your mom at the special school. Maybe let her know that she raised a No-Life. All this crazy talk does not stop gerard from being an idiot for resorting to violence. I'm actually not siding with the pasp, but moreso with the people that would not resort to violence. gerard has to accept his career choice and that unfortunately "stars" are going to be followed. Hopefully Gerard will just get deported for breaking the law then this whole problem goes away.
