22. It amazes me how ignorant and uninformed people like reflection are. Your own democratic flagship newspaper (NY Times) published an article on Sept 30, 1999 telling us exactly why we are in the financial position we are today. The Clinton admin is pressuring Fannie/Freddie to make loans to lower/middle income people who don't have good enough credit to get a loan through normal means.
The article states that by doing this Fannie is taking on significantly more risk and that it might work out when the economy is going well, the GOVERNMENT CREATED corporation my run into trouble when the economy isn't doing so well and that a "rescue" similar to the S&L crisis in the 80's will be necessary.
To top it all off, there were Congressional hearings in '04 in which govt regulators were sounding the alarm and top Deomocrats such as Barney Frank, Maxine Watters et al, ignored the warnings and said everything will be fine.
This problem isn't a Bush creation or a free-market creation, it was created by the government interference that Democrats love to shove up our azzes.
Don't blindly take my word for it like you do with all the nonsense spewed by the agenda driven media, use your brain for a change and read the article and listen to '04 hearings. You will be amazed at how different the facts are compared to what you hear when you turn on your tv.

Listen, it's an election and obviously everyone is going to be passionate about the candidates that they want to win, but come on! If I don't believe what you do, it's not because one of us is "uninformed" or "an idiot". It's because we have opposing political views. If both parties could stop being so vicious in their hatred for one another, maybe we could actually solve some of the problems that the country is facing.

Can you imagine if they did this to Obama or his wife? I'm so dissapointed that our country does things like this during important political times. 27. Palin is an undereducated boob who has about as much business running this country as one of the many moose she claims to have shot. No offense to "Joe 6-Pack", but I don't want a regular hockey mom running this country. We are in deep trouble and Palin is not smart enough to be at the top of the heap. She is a fine governor of a state with about as many people living in it as Omaha Nebraska,. But that does not qualify her to get us out of the severe economic crisis the former "regular guy" president got us into. And you can say all you want about her learning on the job and that she will not be president... but the truth of the matter is McCain is getting older everyday and he refuses to release his medical records.
So you can be a fan of that regular gal Palin all you want... but the truth is he would make a better talk show host than leader of the free world.
