Kathy Griffin Declares Land War

So your neighbor decides he's going to widen a road that leads to the home of an elderly woman. Why? Because that's how he rolls.
Kathy Griffin
But what happens when he rolls right over your fence and starts building a retaining wall on your property without your permission? If you're Kathy Griffin, you do more than stand-up -- you call the city and put an immediate stop to the illegal incursion.

While the seemingly well intended, do-it-yourself neighbor claims he's only trying to make room for the inevitable arrival of emergency vehicles, Kathy is holding firm.

TMZ has learned Griffin was informed by friends while out of town that her fence had been laid to waste, and has since issued an official "stop work" notice. We've also been informed that notice or no notice, construction continues.

Our advice? Don't piss off a woman that can shred you in front of a national audience for years to come.

16. Sad and pathetic that McCain supporters feel the need to beg for votes on tmz. What losers.

17. absolutely, Kit. There is not a chance in hell McCain will win this election. He is full of lies and continues to alter his statements everyday. I will wholeheartedly support Obama because he is the only assurance that I have today to keep hope for my children,. I want out of the war and I don't want my sons sent over there to fight over differences that are instilled in people from before birth. That is why we are different countries. When America recognizes this we will prosper. Our only hope for this voice is Barrack Obama. Such an articulate voice will resonate in this world.

19. ROFLMAO off at hmm who is confused and sad and needs to build a bomb shelter. Hussein is an historic name and in no way means someone is a terrorist. These old fashioned views won't fly this time, buddy.

21. If the neighbor is building the retaining wall, the Kathy should thank him. If he did not, then erosion will certainly f her fence up anyway. They guy should have made things easier by simply talking to her and maybe getting her permission. Moral of the story, talk to your neighbors and keep the lawyers out of the White House. NOBAMA.

22. "On Monday alone, Obama spent $3.3 million in TV advertising. At that rate the Democrat will spend more than $90 million on ads through the Nov. 4 election"...with the struggle most US citizens are having...this is not a smart move...just sayin...

25. You want change? That's good, because that's all you'll have if you vote for OBAMA!

"Obama cured my leprecy!" Oh my! Obama is CHANGE!

You mean like the change we've had since you liberals voted in a majority of Democrats into the House a few years back? Notice THAT'S when our economic downturn began? Of course not, because, in typical liberal fashion, you don't like personal responsibility. You want the government to bail you out. We'll see how that works out for you with Obama. Good luck with that!

26. Hey Hot Snot, how would you like to give up 10 feet of your land? Or 10% of your house? or 10% of your car? It's KATHY GRIFFIN'S LAND! She paid for it, she earned it! This guy has no right to come in and barrel down her fence and take something that doesn't belong to him. Maybe she would have been more AMENABLE had he ASKED her first!

You must be a liberal - they always feel entitled to get things they haven't earned.

27. I HATE Kathy anyways, In fact I wish she would fall off the face of the earth!

28. Too bad the article forgets to mention that the driveway is an easement that Kathy lost rights to control 44 years ago, long before she bought the property. Without the easement 3 house have no access. Instead of talking to neighbors, she would rather fight via an attorney to take control of the easement and 49 square feet that crosses her property because 48,455 square feet of land just isn't quite enough.

29. this is for Jen who said Kathy is a "has-been"...first of all, It is TWO words, not one, and if she is a has-been, why does she live in a huge Hollywood mansion while you on the other hand, are reading TMZ on your lunch break at the Shell station?

she can't give up what appears MAYBE 10 ft of land? by hot snot
*****************************************************
here's why not. maybe some few years from now when she wants to build something she may find out she can't because its 10 feet too close to a neighbors property.

knocking down her fence is vandalism and taking her propert is theft. the price of land where ever she lives is probably sky high and that small strip of lands cash value might equal an amount large enough to qualify as felony theft.
