18. To Kate - it's been out there that Lauren makes $75k per episode. Last season had more than 20 episodes. On top of her (overpriced) clothing line, she gets paid for appearances. Yeah her parents are wealthy, but girl is making money.

19. i don't doubt the car is hers. and I'm sure MTV gave her the money to do so. Her parents would never buy her an $118,000 car. Notice how every season she upgrades with some new wheels? in Laguna Beach she has an old Toyota 4Runner, then in Season 1 of the Hills he had like a 2000 BMW convert. then she replaced it with a brand new CLK convertible during the 3rd season and now she has an Audi R8. That's a big jump from a CLK but im sure she's getting paid to do so

20. I bet any one of you complaining woud love to quit your 9 to 5 jobs and "do nothing" like Lauren and get paid for it too. But really, who cares about her car? My BF worked for an auto dealer and he used to drive hot cars all the time - ON LOAN.

23. Dont forget that she also bought a million dollar plus house too. Yes her parents are loaded but I'm pretty sure she's making bank right now. She better save that money, like other people are saying, because once the Hills is over, she will be forgotten and the money will be long gone.

24. It's a car she's been given to drive around for advertisement, SHE DOES NOT OWN IT and it is NOT BRAND NEW. I wouldn't be surprised if it was someone's returned R8 or a demo/tour model as many owners are already pre-ordering the 2009 model with it's revised V10 engine.

25. when you live long enough and been there done that... you look upon some people and see yourself 10-20 years previous. I've got the means to buy pretty much what I want... but I don't because it just isn't a priority anymore to be "on" all the time or impress or make a statement or have the "coolest"... buy whatever floats your boat, but in the end, it's has nothing to do with living a meaningful life.
