20. Here's the deal. He said he was HIV-P and not AIDS...but let's think about it, how many others who have had mega-bucks and have also been HIV-P and it's turned for the worse and have died? Just think about it. Magic is the ONLY one so far that has had it since 1991 and is still alive and well.

I'm not saying that he's not done much for the cause....not an issue HOWEVER, he stands LONE in the WORLD for having it and by heresay had a child a year or two AFTER the announcement of being HIV-P.

This is a serious disease and nothing to play with....but if he does not have it how do you think those who have it will feel? Why would someone...anyone do something like this? I have no idea but people have been known to do all kinds of things for many reasons.

Don't discount it because of who he is and the good he's done because of the announcement.

First of all, you can be HIV Pos for years and never have it progress to AIDS....by the way it's not referred to as "THE AIDS" and having AIDS doesn't mean anything but that your immune system has dropped below a certain number of infection fighting cells. a number that was determined by the CDC....that number can be brought back up by medication and taking care of yourself. No one dies of AIDS.....people who progress to AIDS die of infections due to their immune system being battered. People die of AIDS related complications, not AIDS itself. And to Cookie, apparently according to you, I am the longest living person with HIV, since I've been HIV pos since 1989 and have no plans on leaving the planet anytime soon. I take medication for HIV and according to my blood work, I have a stronger immune system than some people who are HIV negative, so please don't think everyone with HIV is ready for the undertaker.

If it had not been for Magic's acquired wealth, open mind to varying treatment, a complete focus on holistic healing, and the loving devotion of his wife (who he cheated on while they were dating), he would not be alive and enjoying a family today. Although it isn't newsworthy for anyone to say he fabricated that he had AIDS is ignorance at its greatest.

Magic Johnson (since facing one of the deadliest diseases on the Planet today) has gone on to do good things on behalf of other people!
