New Presidential Hopeful Appears On Ballot

Barack ObamaAbsentee voters in upstate New York looking for a president that will bring real change just got their wish.

Over 300 ballots recently received by mail in Rensselaer County listed the choices for president as John McCain and a new hopeful -- Barack "Osama." Is the GOP in the printing business now?

Voting commissioner Edward McDonough apologized calling it "human error" and "an embarrassment to our office." After the Sarah Palin VP announcement, nothing really comes as a shock anymore.

80. First, that's classy. Good job on the printing *sigh*. Second, Thanks TMZ, for giving the "cut and paste" political commentators a place to put the emails they got from their friends. To Matt (#14) you don't have to give reasons for not voting for Obama when one of the things you said was that you'd never vote for a democrat. I think that right there covers all the bases. I think that voting only for either party qualifies you as "sheep". Try listening to what people have to say and thinking for yourself for once. It'll be a struggle, but you can do it... Ah who am I kidding?

81. I say let the conspiracy theorists freak out. What karma can be better served to these people than to vote for a President they fear for the next 4 years. Apparently being the dumbest had no effect on them in 04 when they re-elected the worst President of the modern age. I'm taking great comfort in watching them squirm. Watching ignorant people freaking out is the best! I'm waiting for one to claim Obama is an alien!

82. Blogging brings out the best in people. Yet, President Obama supports ALL Americans. In spite of our imperfections. We are honored to have such a noble leader. We also look forward to Senator McCain supporting the President on future endeavors. Finally, change is coming to Washington.

90. To #69 - Genvieve

Thanks. We can add two more things:

1) Palin has appointed friends to positions in government for which they have absolutely no experience and qualifications.

2) As we now all know, it’s a fact that she abuses her power, the executive code of ethics, and the people’s trust. The investigation into Palin’s using private e-mail accounts to conduct State business promises to be yet another violation of ethics, at the very least.

And this is a woman who bragged about how she got rid of corruption? I’m beginning to believe the Alaskans who said that wasn’t a bad corruption problem to begin with. No wonder Alaskans held two demonstrations this past month protesting Palin. Thousands of people showed up; not bad for a State with that small a population.

By the way, Angel, sorry, but you're dead wrong, and really out of touch with what happened. The warnings were obvious years ago with Fannie, Freddie, etc. So much so, that certain members of the House tried to push through legislation years ago that would regulate what these giant organizatoins were up to -- as well as other corrupt lenders, and the buying and selling of overvalued, toxic assets. But the Republican-controlled Congress shot it down. Keep in mind, that people who lived off their credit cards in trying to keep up with the Jones, and then defaulting on their payments also played a part in this mess. The Domino effect started to get a foot hold when the Fed dropped the interest rate following the terrorist attacks on 9/11. That was seven years ago.
