"Desperate Housewives" in Critical Condition

We've learned Gale Harold, the actor who plays Teri Hatcher's boyfriend on "Desperate Housewives," was seriously injured yesterday in a motorcycle accident. And, contrary to what Harold's rep says, a hospital spokesperson just told us the actor is in "critical condition."

He's being treated at the L.A. County - USC Medical Center in the Intensive Care Unit. We're told his shoulder was screwed up. Harold's rep just issued a statement saying his shoulder was fractured and he's in "stable condition," despite what the hospital rep said. And the slightly ominous words from his rep -- "Everyone is hopeful for a full recovery."

"D.H." creator Marc Cherry says Harold has swelling of the brain but is expected to recover.

BTW, Harold also starred in "Queer as Folk."

18. Sorry to hear, but personally, I can't stand him with Terry Hatcher anyway. He reminds me of that Danny Pelosi guy who murdered that rich woman in NY.

19. Motorcycles scare me. Looking at the odds, just with people I've known, not so good. Those people are so vulnerable. I treat motorcycles differently than cars when I drive. I give them more room, I watch more closely, etc. I try to be extremely careful not to ever hit one. They don't have such a great chance in a wreck. So dangerous.

On another note, I checked out the View blog site. The censorship on that thing is such a joke.

21. It's all the fools around you that you have to watch out for. There are idiot drivers all around motorcycles and people just don't see them. I hope he isn't hurt too badly and recovers quickly.

27. Tardo -- that comment ws completely inappropriate! Gosh people are so rude and inconsiderate! I wish Gale the best and hope he recovers. He shouldn't be criticized for having a motorcycle, many people do and enjoy them. Why is it that people can't think of anything other than negativity? I wonder what kind of lives you lead with all that negative energy around you.

30. You all sound like idiots to say someone got what they deserve for being in any type of accident. Motorcycle or car, there are accidents and people get hurt. There are more wrecks involved in cars than any other mode of transportation. You have to do defensive driving no matter what. I am sure you all drive cars and ride in cars and there are accidents daily, does that make you a idiot? If its your time, its your time.
