"Desperate Housewives" in Critical Condition

We've learned Gale Harold, the actor who plays Teri Hatcher's boyfriend on "Desperate Housewives," was seriously injured yesterday in a motorcycle accident. And, contrary to what Harold's rep says, a hospital spokesperson just told us the actor is in "critical condition."
Gale Harold
He's being treated at the L.A. County - USC Medical Center in the Intensive Care Unit. We're told his shoulder was screwed up. Harold's rep just issued a statement saying his shoulder was fractured and he's in "stable condition," despite what the hospital rep said. And the slightly ominous words from his rep -- "Everyone is hopeful for a full recovery."

"D.H." creator Marc Cherry says Harold has swelling of the brain but is expected to recover.

BTW, Harold also starred in "Queer as Folk."

91. Gret better soon. It is cheaper to ride a bike then a car but not as safe. Plus it is more fun if you drive it save and watch out for other vehicles. Some drivers don't like motorcycle driver and try to run then orr the rioad. I heard one person say that and was shocked.God heal you and give you a speedy recovery.

93. He is an amazing actor. Can go from Gay to Straight and vice versa, who else does that? He's hot on Queer as Folk, and he's hot on Desperate Housewives. Whether it was as car accident, a plane crash, or a motorcycle accident, it's tragic, and I pray he recovers fully to resume his awesome acting! And to those sarcastic people out there, you take your chances with anything "motorized" guess you should just walk from now on, much safer.

94. If you know anything about the funeral home business then you already know this: motorcycles are more deadly than cancer, old age, drugs and smoking. The average "daily rider" is killed in less than 15 years. Even old age dont kill you that fast. Ride and "you will die". Its too late to change anything when your being thown over the handlebars, please park your motorcycle forever. I dont want you as a customer till your 80 years old. A undertaker.....

95. Well, (Re)tardo, do us a favor: buy yourself a motorcycle and run it off a cliff. Then I'd say YOU'D deserve whatever injuries you get, because you're a craptastic tool to think anyone who rides a motorcycle deserves to get hurt.

And don't get well soon, Gale...get well NOW! :) Love and prayers, dude.

96. Harley's forever, if you have the class for one. 105 years of tradition. Just wear a helmet, ride careful and don't take a tardo on a date. If you do, pop a wheelie!!!

98. I have love Gale Harold since I first saw him on Queer as Folk. It was amazing how many straight females were into him even when he portrayed a gay man.

I'm hoping for a speedy recovery and a return to Desperate Housewives. He is a talented actor.

99. Hey Joe the funeral guy. You must be Re-
What you said is about the dumbest thing right there next to your friend Tardo.

100. It is possible to be in critical condition and stable condition at the same time. He is critical enough that they wouldn't turn him loose on a regular floor, but he is not in danger of dying at this moment. I hope he is on the mend soon,

And for those of you who say that he deserves what he got because he got on a motorcycle, you really need some help. What sad, sad people you are.

101. I've ridden MC's since 1965. I've never been hit or layed one down. To the poster who said that riders deserve the injuries, needs to say that in front of a biker. You're probably one of the people that don't respect motorcycles or anyone but yourself. Your brother needs to be killed on a bike before you'll understand how your little brain works. I hope the actor recovers fully. If he was at fault, I hope he learned from his mistake.

102. To The Rev: Hi Gary, You shouldn't be watching Desperate Housewives....But evidently you do or you wouldn't know how to respond to this sad news....How's the plumbing job working for you? Not knocking it by any means..cause I am sure you are making more income than you ever did as a REV....How is your sweet Hispanic gitl friend doing? Has she wised up to your M.O.?

103. I think anyone who rides a motorcycle is taking a major chance. It doesn't matter though. A man got hurt. He has my prayers for a speedy recovery.

104. I wish Gale a speedy recovery and my thoughts and prayers are with the family. I think he is a very talented actor and hope we get to see a lot more of him on tv if not on DH then on something else.

105. That's what you get for being an idiot and riding a motorcycle. Helmet or not, it's not a good thing to do. Anyone in this day and age that rides a motorcycle deserves the injuries they receive..Hey Tardo,,,you're the IDIOT!!!..with this day and age and the flippin gas prises going up and down, everyone should ride a bike , scooter, whatever, if they don't have families to drive around. TARDO!!!
