Madge and Guy -- Officially Splitsville

Madonna and Guy Ritchie are divorcing, their rep has confirmed.

"Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after seven-and-a-half years of marriage. They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time," says a statement given to the AP.

The joint statement from Madge and Guy's reps emphasizes the couple haven't agreed to any kind of settlement. We're told by sources in London and NYC the matter will most likely be hashed out in London, even though Madge could move to bring the matter to the US if she wanted.

Just to set the scene, Madonna is in Boston, Guy is in the UK, and A-Rod was last spotted in L.A.

The Ritchies are splitting up after 8 years of marriage.

Divorce is always sad and I feel for her children, but I am sorry she is not a nice person and karma is not nice to un-nice people!!!!!!!!!!

100. Like this was a big surprise! Madonna is a disgusting, egotistical prima donna, but pretends to be holier than thou. She doesn't want her children being exposed to raunchy, inappropriate material, but it's OK for her to corrupt everybody else's children from the very beginning of her wretched career. 101. I was a HUGE fan when she first hit the scene...I stopped following her when she turned into an effected WEIRDO. I have to agree with a bunch of you--she is an absolute SKANK. I wouldn't spend one penny on her concert or CDs. She otta keep her mouth shut. She's a terrible actress and a singer, if I wanted her opinion about politics, I'd ask.

103. It is so ugly to see such jealousy in such numbers. What kind of person you must be to bash someone who has raised awareness for a 3rd world country, saved a child from a life of poverty and illness, raised millions upon millions of dollars for AIDS awareness and Breast cancer, opened numerous doors for female artist, used her star power to raise political awareness in this country. I mean really can many women say they have done that in their entire lifetime? Reguarding her body, Madonna is speciman of perfect health and perhaps all of us should strive to take such care of what god has given us. I mean the sad part is most of you bashers are damn women so is it jealousy or just plain ignorance? And reguarding "Ohh she should have been at home taking care of her kids or Ohh she should have been at home with her husband" what is this the 1800's?? Career women are a thing of the norm, but just to clarify she had all of her kids with her her entire last tour and when Guy was not working he was with her if you need proof it's a mere Google away. Maybe it's time some of you people look inside yourself instead of deflecting your issues, because at the end of the day husband or not I'm sure Madonnas heart is full and yours is pretty empty. We should all strive to care about our world and the people within as much as Madonna does.
