32. Obama came into 'Joe's' neighborhood and approached him to shake his hand. This man asked a simple question and because he asked it, the media is all over his life to bring him down. He must be destroyed!? What we SHOULD be worried about is not Joe the Plumber's question, but Obama's answer. Obama finally slipped and told his socialistic view of wealth distribution. That is scary. The U.S. is on the verge of becoming a government-controlled country with the media voluntarily controlled by far left-wing liberals going along for the ride.

I am Joe the Plumber. We are Joe the Plumber. He IS the average man and the media (television reports as well as newspapers) must shut him down? I now know more about the background of a man named 'Joe' then I do about Obama.

Ask a question or challenge the appointed messiah, and your ass is grass. Shape of things to come with the House controlled by liberal Democrats, the Senate controlled by liberal Democrats, the Presidency to be possibly controlled by liberal Democrats, and the media controlled by liberal Democrats.

If it's wrong to try to get ahead, then so be it. Get government out of our pockets. If a person wants to redistribute their wealth, it's their choice… NOT THE GOVERNMENTS! Socialism today = communism tomorrow.

35. This world has gone mad..."This is what he gets” He’s a person from Ohio who asked a question. Who cares what his party is, his job is, his race is or his name is. Who cares what tax bracket...none of this is relevant! This man has been vetted more in the last 48 hours than Obama has in the last 18 months! Are you serious!?!?!

I was born and raised in Ohio. I now live in Florida...still in a swing state. I am a single, WORKING mother, who through hard work, have earned my way into a higher tax bracket, never got a "stimulus check" because I file head of house hold. I have been registered as both a Republican and a Democrat. I have never voted straight down a ticket for either party, I have always voted on issues. Period. I don't vote for someone because of party affiliation and no one should. That is ignorant.

This election has gotten insane and sad because people are verbally attacking other people, writing hateful things about them, saying "F them" because they don't agree with them politically? What is wrong with you? Get a grip!

This entire situation makes me sick that Americans would let the press go after ANYONE who is a private citizen because they went against the grain of popular thought, or maybe it should be called Group Thought at this point because hardly anyone seems to be rationally thinking for themselves. What makes you think if the tide shifts, you will not be the next person who asks a question on the news or maybe in a forum like this and next thing you know that girlfriend or boyfriend you cheated on is on CNN talking about what a huge jerk you were when you were together? None of it would be relevant to you question of a politician!

So here are some answers to your questions....
Yes, WOMEN can be Republicans and think for themselves and not want to be taxed and not want to take anyone else’s money (spread the wealth around)...that policy is called SOCIALISM....It's failed time and time again through history and if you would like to take a working look at it, please come to Florida and see the Cubans getting off of their rafts after they risk life and limb over 90 miles of shark infested seas to leave a country that embraces those policies. Also see North Korea, Nazi Germany, Venezuela, USSR...for failed Marxist\Socialist policies.

"The guy's name's not Joe and he's not a plumber and owes money and doesn't own the business” His MIDDLE NAME IS JOE. I guess you can't go by your middle name. As I previously stated...this is common in places like Ohio..where I'm originally from. The owner of the business he stated he “hopes” to purchase has the license and he was in the processes of taking the test to become certified. In the state of Ohio, The owner is required to carry a license. The subject of liens....which one of you are debt free....please let me know? This is such BS it's not fair to this man or his family.

There is one VALID point in this entire story. OBAMA! He was called on his "tax" policies. Forget who called him. He answered the question HONESTLY for once. "Spread the wealth around” AKA Socialism. Now there is an issue he has slipped on and the far left and the MSM is throwing the kitchen sink at the Plumber trying to somehow damage McCain and help Obama. Let me give you this piece of advice. While people in the tank for Obama (MSM) and on the far, far fringes who are willing to call anyone who disapproves of their "Supreme Leader" think it's fine to call a working man a liar because he goes by his middle name and try to drag him through the mud...most Americans do not like that very much.

You should focus more on your leader’s troubled answer to the question and less on the man who asked it, but that would be a fundamental issue with your leader…so best to deflect to the middle class man that Obama claims to be fighting for and cares so much about right? Desperation in the light of tight poll numbers?

40. Just to put some FACTS into all this commentary. His name IS Joe. That is what people know him by. My Uncle Bob's birth name was Arthur. But he is known and called Bob. My husband's best friend is called Scot, however his legal first name is Powell, but all know him by the name of Scot. If you met him he'd say, "Hello, I'm Scot, nice to meet you." He is not a liar. Katie Couric's first name is Katherine. Is she a liar? Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher is known privately and publicly as Joe Wurzelbacher. So what? Also, Joe the Plumber never said he was a plumber, he said he wants to buy a plumbing business in the next year. Lastly, Obama came into Joe's neighborhood and walked around and approached Joe and shook his hand and wanted a photo op. Joe asked a simple quite question and bam! The man now has to be humiliated and destroyed. Shame on Obama and his backers, shame on the media, and shame on those who defend this type of 'shut up and sit down' mentality.

This will show you Joe the Plumbers out there to ask a reasonable, thoughtful question! 43. Wow....with all the people on this page that can afford McCains tax plan, it's a wonder that our country is in a recession! Unfortunately if I vote for McCain I will never be able to afford my home, lose my job, and even my healthcare. I'm glad to see that there are people out there who are doing so well! 44. Joe the plumber is an average man? LOL! Obviously I am not the average man because I cannot afford to buy a business. He's worried of taxes on money earned OVER $200,000. That is $200,000 AFTER all expenses. So if he takes home $210,000 he is only taxed on the $10,000. If I took home $200,000 I would have no probablem being taxed on anything over that. Especially if it helped our economy....I'd prefer NOT to lose anymore of my 401K!!!
