51. Maybe you don't want to own a business or you can't own a business, but hundreds of thousands of other 'average' people do and will. If a business grosses $250,001 that does not mean the owner nets $250,001. But that is what the owner will be taxed on according to Obama's plan.

If a business makes more than $250,001 that MUST, cover salaries of all employees, advertisement, inventory, losses, health insurance, liability insurance, taxes, accountant fees, IRS preparations, rent, etc. etc, etc. and hopefully there may be some left over for growth.

Increased taxes are passed along to the consumer, which mean an increase in prices, so it’s a revolving door.

Before Obama's plan a successful Subway franchise may offer a sandwich for $4.99; however, after an increase in taxes for businesses the price may go up to $6.99. YOU pay for an increase in taxes. At Sears, a pair of shoes may cost $29.50 before Obama's plan, after the same pair may cost $45.25. Do you not see?

This is not a time to increase taxes. Any taxes! This is a time to lower ALL taxes. Businesses are running to Ireland because they lowered the business taxes in that country. In the U.S. it's at least 35% or higher. Businesses = jobs = money = growth = stable economy.

Lets see Ohiogirl...where to start I don't make over 250K a year, but I do work for a living. Actually, I've already worked over 60 hours this week which gives me the freedom to converse with you fine people today. I just believe that people who have worked hard for what they have should be able to keep it. The government shouldn't take from one person and directly give it to another...if so, why work at all, why not stay home and collect a check? What's the reward for making anything of yourself? You should try it…it is quite rewarding!

Erin, you said if you made over 200K you would have no problem giving more away in taxes. I bet if you actually made that much and paid that amount in taxes you would feel different. If not, there is a fund that you can currently send money to help pay off the national debt (http://www.treasurydirect.gov/govt/resources/faq/faq_publicdebt.htm) that goes above what you pay in taxes if you are actually in a tax bracket that pays income tax, so feel free to spread your charitable contributions to the greater good of the country, or get the rest of the libs on this posting's emails and send them all checks...Do the right thing!
