You have lost your mind. It was Obama's ANSWER to the question and people looking into it that made the MSM look into him to try to discredit him. My point was simply saying that it didn't matter, a private person, who has never been a part of the political theater should be off limits. Personal insults of "idiot" are not necessary to disagree with someone. Even though my opinion of you is not incredibly high, I don't think you should be exposed like that either.

I do take extreme offense to being called a "racist Republican". You don't know anything about me as a person. You don't know what my race is or what my personal relationships are. But to clear that up for you, I have a mix-ed race child and have dated men that have been from just about every different background that you can think of, mostly African American and Hispanic with a few Middle Eastern and Asian guys to boot. So I think that it's pretty low for you to paint everyone with a broad brush of "racist". That is a large and serious charge to level against someone and quite frankly; the only people who have brought it up in this campaign have been the Obama Campaign and Democrats who have wildly been calling everyone who disagrees with Obama a racist. You don’t scare me with that game.

Call me what you want, but I still don't agree with Obama and it's because he's a liberal tax and spend Democrat and not because he's black. I wish a QUALIFIED black person would run for office because I would vote for them.

62. I have a neighbor from South Vietnam. She says that the type of things going on with Obama, and the types of policies he is for, are eerily similar to those she lived under for 25 years. She has been here for 35 years, and is VERY afraid of losing her second country to the same type of governmet she escaped from.

Speaking with her has given me many a sleepless night.

And by the way--she and her family have NEVER accepted help from the government, and learned to speak english. She has put 4 children through college (all of them are doctors) and has one more in high school. She is more American than most of us out there.

mCcain really dissapointed me when he pick sarah palin as a running mate. she is not competent enough to be president!! no way. and i am a woman, ok, so if anything i would lean towards giving her some slack. this decision, shows mccain didn't really think about what would be best for the u.s. if something happened to him; he could have picked anyone who ran against him in the primaries (romney, that other guy, and so and so) for a decent vice president, but he picked her???? also, with "joe" the plumber, mccain made such an issue out of him; "my old friend joe" and all that hogwash, and now it turns out he doesnt pay the taxes he owes now! and isn't even a licensed plumber. if you own a small business you have to be way successful to net $250,000 a year!!!!! that's income after expenses, etc................................ guys! you need to see that for what it is - fear mongering on the part of mccain.

I really don't know who I'm going to vote for but~

It is not going to be somebody who's going to make me pay more taxes.
I don't make 250,000.~ but I'm trying.

I'm not a rocket scientist, I'm just another hard working citizen,
but I recognize Socialism when I see it!

I might not have my plumber's license yet, but I'm taking the test in
two weeks. I have been doing my journeyman plumber job for eight
years.

I have not been able to pay all of my 2007 taxes yet, but so have
alot of other hard working Americans.

So please don't ruin my dream of owning my own business and taking
care of my son, just keep government out of my way and please don't
tax me or any other hard working man or woman to death.

68. So many are portraying "Joe the Plummer" as the victim, "poor guy, he was just asking a question". Well, the REAL VICTIM here was Obama! He was out meeting "real" people and the McCain camp plants someone so they can use it against Obama in the debates. Why did the McCain camp try calling this guy to give him a heads up about the debates but said his phone was BUSY! Its sad the spin that is put on this is against Obama. Think about it if he wasnt a plant why would he be asking the small business question. All the information out there shows us this guy is nowhere near being able to own or buy any small business. He cant even pay his taxes, how is he going to buy a small business? Of course they werent going to have him ask about a tax hike on 40,000 because the answer Obama would have given him would have actually helped "Joe the Plummer". There would be NO raised taxes for "Joe the Plummer", but that answer wouldnt have helped McCain during the debates.

70. Wow! TMZ you hit a real low. Why would you bring his personal issues to the public? He is a regular person asking a legitimate question. It is scary to think that none of us can ask anything relevant to help us decide who to vote for in an important election without our background being made public because you didn't like the way he made Obama look. I can't wait until this election is over, the way people are attacking the candidates and ordinary citizens is scary and sad.

It doesn't seem like that much when you don't pay it and you'll get it mailed to you via the government right? "Spread the wealth around". The point is it's shouldn't be up to the government to say that people who are this "successful" should be obligated to take care those people who are not "as successful". That is SOCIALISM, at least in part, not the fully implemented top to bottom government, media, secret police version, but the rational is with more and more socialist policy, comes the complete form of the government. Oddly enough most if not all start with a leader promising change....where did I hear that...sounds somewhat familiar....O..O..Obama..That’s right. I remember now. The same guy who said "spread the wealth around" AKA wealth redistribution.

Also, a question to all of the tax people in the crowd, If you raise taxes on Large Businesses all the way down to people making 250K (the top 5% that already are paying almost all of the tax burden already) who does that "trickle down" to? Customers, Employees, Vendors? How about businesses they work with to rent property from, or new prospective employees? Do you think these "Rich" people get rich by writing big tax checks to the government or they will just say "OK" and absorb these new cost and not pass them along in other ways like higher cost to customers, other businesses or firing or not hiring employees?

You would be dreaming to think this wouldn't hurt an already messed up economy. Lots of Economist are not too happy with this, even MSM outlets were running articles last week about the joke of the 95% of people who will get tax cuts considering 40% of the public pays no Income Tax to begin with.

I just want to leave you with a question. Name three poor people who have given you a job and three wealthy people or companies who have ever given you a job?

SHE GOT HER ASS INTO THIS COUNTRY THE SAME WAY YOUR ANCESTORS DID....HARD WORK. And once here, was on her own, just like most of our ancestors. No subsidies, no handouts, no vouchers, no food stamps, NOTHING.

She has never applied for or accepted government aide. She has worked 2 jobs since she coming here 35 years ago, and still does. She has a work ethic that is phenomenal, and is appalled at the way many Americans take what we have here for granted.

And until you have lived through what she has experienced, and can speak from that experience.......you can then call me anything you want, but until then.....grow up.
