I'm entitled to take from people that work for a living. I'm entitled to a portion of a wealthy person's money. You're going to send me a check for no reason at all - awesome! 111. I'm a liberal with conservative views. I am not ALL OF YOU or ALL OF THEM. I am me. Don't group me with everyone else. We are all different, very individual thinkers. Most republicans and I said most, not all, on here like to call ALL dems/libs morons or stupid or idiots. It's getting tiresome. I am an advocate; I use to make 20 an hour working for the county, re-writing county programs. When dear ole bushy took office that was the first item on the chopping block, destroying all county funding. I lost my job. I still volunteer though, I have volunteered and worked with parents for the last 7 years. So I must be some extremely lazy democrat because there is no need for the college education I have had and all the programs I have done to get the title I had.

BUT that's my point for this post. I'm going to correct some of the ignorant misconceptions about welfare recipients; I'm speaking from an Oregon stand point.

A single parent with a child only receives 427 in cash benefits and I think 300sum for food stamps. A single parent with two children only receive 527(-+ a little) in cash and a little more then a single child for food stamps. A single parent with three children only receives 617(-+ a little) in cash and a little more then two children for food stamps.
Here in Oregon you can not collect a cash grant past 5 years even if you decide to have 10 more children. 5 years in total you area allowed to be on the program and then POOF all done. DON'T put me in a category as wanting to be lazy and collect welfare for the rest of my life because "ALL DEMS want to be on welfare". 427 will not pay my 1200 rent or do anything for myself or my child.

But this is where it comes back to my first paragraph. I use to work for the county that made programs to help welfare recipients get help they needed to get a job and children in daycare and make them feel human again.

Joe/Sam didn't GO TO an Obama rally, Obama CAME TO Joe's neighborhood, walked up to HIM and shook HIS hand. What is so freakin' difficult to understand about that chain of events? Did the McCain campaign have a crystal ball to predict where and when Obama was going to stop??? If they did I'd like to think they'd use it to be MUCH further ahead in the polls.
