Palin Dances to Her Own Beatdown

Finally seeing Tina Fey and Sarah Palin in the same place was great -- but the best part of "SNL" last night came when Sarah Palin kept the beat while Amy Poehler railed her with a rap song.

The combination of Poehler's dancing Eskimos, the first dude busting moves in a ski suit behind her and a fake moose killing really nailed Palin -- and we don't mean the old-fashioned way.

46. They brought her on SNL to set her up and make a fool out of her, but she was herself and genuine and it didn't happen.

I am not a Palin supporter. I would never vote for her for POTUS in a million years, but good for her!

She out-classed SNL by a mile.

47. This appearance probably did more to boost Palin's popularity than anything they've done recently (Note: Popularity, not poll numbers). That skit was HILARIOUS and the writing behind that song was amazing. I was laughing my ass off. I don't care for Palin in the White House at all, but it was cool of her to be on there.

48. I know quite a few Bush voting (twice) Republicans that have soured on the party and are claiming to be voting for Obama this time around.

Several reasons are being given for it, and one is that McCain has never really been a fan favorite within the Republican party (he hasn't been for me) how he came out on top in the primaries is still a little surprising to me, as i didn't feel him to be the strongest representation for the party. This is a widespread feeling amongst true conservatives.

Another reason given is that the constant attacks and bashing of Bush for 8 years, has worked on the psyche of some Republicans, and along with Bush (who looks beat up, battered, bruised and WORN OUT) they've had enough and want it to stop and go away...and they feel it can't get any worse, so let's just throw our hats in for Obama and see how it plays out. Even if things don't change much in REALITY...the air will be a little fresher, and by "air" I mean the stuff that fills it all around us in the form of airwaves coming off the boob tube, the radio and of the pages of every magazine we read and digest. The mind is a powerful thing. We've been getting pumped full of acid trash METAL for 8 years, now we'll be inundated with silly love songs...thank you Sir Paul McCartney! LOL!

Anyway....YES, there are actually Republicans voting for Obama! Why did that even have to be verified? Paranoid delusions and conspiracy theories seem to abound on the Left don't they?

49. How sad.....OBAMA can spend millions on campaigning (donated by liberals...hollywood etc...) when many of his own people ...aka AMERICANS cannot even afford to eat....and have no shelter. What's wrong with this picture?? I heard his campaign state last night...they are going to spend every sent of it. EEEEeeeeeeew!

Americans WILL SHOW Mr. O (That One) on election day. WE CANNOT BE BOUGHT!

50. Isn't it hysterical that all the Libs on this site keep yapping about how Governor Palin won't be able to do the job as VP. Let see: She's been able to withstand the greatest onslaught of liberal media bias, character assasination and personal attacks EVER in the history of elections and she has not crumbled. She has maintained grace, dignity and a great sense of humor through it all. She has stood up to her critics like a champ. Seems like she handles herself quite well under pressure. I can imagine no finer VP. I'll take Governor Palin as VP any day. McCain/Palin 2008!!!

51. Uhhhh....who else would Powell endorse? Those who continue to make this a white/black issue should take a look at Obama's momma and the grandparent's who raised him.

52. I enjoyed watching Sarah Palin on SNL...

The moose getting shot was hilarious.....
.BUT!!!!.....
..If you really listen to all that was said by Alec Baldwin and the lyrics to the rap song, Sarah Palin got OWNED!!.....First standing next to Lorne Michaela she was standing in front of a horse's ass. Coincidence? Baldwin called her a horrible woman to her face, Tina Fey barely acknowledged her. The rap song critically slayed her. Her lines (scripted for her) said that if she had a news conference it wouldn't be like that and she took over from Tina Fey by saying she wouldn't answer any questions. Funny but true as well

She won't have a news conference with real journalists and is even too dumb to realize that the whole time all the jokes made her look stupid.........Makes you wonder why she would even be there in the first place........Desperation and bad advice....Hallmarks of this years McCain campaign.

Grandpa's losing this time.

53. WOW Way to go Palin!!!....right when we are going through an economic crisis and we are going through so much in this country you are @ SNL trying to be funny....THAT'S WHY I'M VOTING 4 OBAMA WOO!!!

54. So the argument has been made here that Michelle Obama is OFF LIMITS to the scorn, ridicule and mockery of a show like SNL because she is just the spouse and not the candidate, yet we see even from the show last night, that Todd Palin is fair game, although he is just the spouse as well?

They even went so low in an earlier skit as claiming he was DO'ing the daughters.

This constant hypocrisy out of the Liberal Left is just disturbing, yet TELLING of the kind of idiots they truly are. Hating on Palin is fair and normal politics. Hating on Obama (or his wife) is RACIST and FOUL!

Difference is...we don't HATE! We question and want answers before we VOTE! You hide and dodge and use the race card to do it and wonder why we're not voting for Obama anyway.

I've noticed that my points are never addressed by those who disagree with them, they just hate on me for making them....in typical liberal hateful fashion.

57. Donna,

Do you mean the white grandmother whom Barrack Hussein essentially called, along with all "typical white people," a racist?

Do you mean the Barrack Hussein who reiterated the words of his racist pastor by saying in his book "white man's greed runs a world in need."

Do you mean the Barrack Hussein who said McCain would scare voters by playing on race (when he has done nothing of the kind).

Do you mean the Barrack Hussein who managed to paint both Bill Clinton and Geraldine Ferraro as racists?

Barrack Hussein is the ONLY politician in this campaign who has used racist tactics to destroy his competition and play on "white guilt." He has dealt the race card from the bottom of the deck. It is so sad that two great Americans like McCain and Palin are being slandered by that Chicago Thug Politician!

Vote for America!
Vote McCain/Palin!

ummmmm..hey DIPPY! What exactly can Palin do...she's just the Governor of ALASKA still? Her state is in a record SURPLUS right now...so if and WHEN she gets in the White House, I guess THEN we can expect 24/7 devotion to fixing the economy...right?

You idiots are cluelss and ridiculous. LOGIC people...try it, you'll make more sense to those of us that have it.

59. To # 50,

Glad to hear your only criteria for the second highest position in our country is the ability to have thick skin and read a teleprompter during a speech! haha. Palin may have the capacity to learn quick (as she has shown in the past few weeks), but I don't feel comfortable with her in the White House at this point as her experience relating with Americans in the "lower 48" began when McCain picked her...and she has not even been out of the country other than to Canada and Mexico (Kuwait photo op aside). She may be a great person, but if she can't relate to the needs of our country....its irrelevant. And, if she could we have no reason to know it......we still don't know this person past her stump speech. She SHOULD be able to be on every show, giving interviews with tough questions or not. She SHOULD be able to answer the questions that the debate moderator asked of her. I could go on and on.

Cool, so maybe we need someone who is green in Washington? Not this green. Palin hasn't exactly shown a "maverick" attitude in not doing what McCain / GOP have told her to do at this point (show one off the cuffe moment with her?), so isn't it fair to think that she could probably be either sucked in or eaten alive in Washington until she learned how to handle everything? With our country in such a crap spot right now, we don't need that risk.

60. It's really like this and not the black and white issues, anyway, all you people afriad a black man will ruin our country, I disagree. White men have ruined our country, give Obama who is half white a chance to fix what W did.

Honestly, he couldn't do worse for our country at this point.

If you believe in trickle down (or on) economics vote for McCain

If you don't need health care - vote for McCain

If you like the ongoing war - vote for McCain

If you want a better life vote Obama
