Palin Dances to Her Own Beatdown

Finally seeing Tina Fey and Sarah Palin in the same place was great -- but the best part of "SNL" last night came when Sarah Palin kept the beat while Amy Poehler railed her with a rap song.

The combination of Poehler's dancing Eskimos, the first dude busting moves in a ski suit behind her and a fake moose killing really nailed Palin -- and we don't mean the old-fashioned way.

91. Palin was great last night!!!!!!!!!!!!Love her!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and #14 you mean another African American voting for Obama? You don't say,,,,,,It won't matter one bit. People lost respect for that man years ago. I was in a Democratic blog room and they all said they wished he hadn't endorsed Mr. Obama.

93. I recently talked to my mother about politics, as it has been a while since we have had the time to do so. She is a proud Arizona native and a lifelong Republican, whose parents were good friends with people such as Barry Goldwater and others strong in the party. She had always toted the party ticket until the later Bush years and was hoping to reaffirm her view points with another GOP candidate. Then things started to change. I remember her furor when Clinton was elected and she be-cried his cheating ways and politics, calling him Slick Willie (and she still despises him greatly and can't stand Hillary either).
But then Bush Jr. began to change things. She still can't believe she voted twice for him and still regrets it to this day. She is very politically astute and enjoys following politics as a hobby since she retied. She was really looking forward to a strong Republican candidate to make a run for this office after her strong disappointment in GW. She told me that when McCain was announced as the GOP runner, she was incensed! She has also personally dealt with and met both Charles Keating and McCain and says that both of them are basically 'human slime'. She had many meetings with Keating over some local zoning issues and we all know what a winner he is. She also said that she ran into McCain about 15 years ago ( I didn't ask her in what context they met, but I think it might have been related to the Keating scandal), but she said that she had a rather nasty encounter with the man and said he showed serious rage issues. She said their encounter ended with her and McCain going at it in a very heated way and she walked away from him when he started spewing a barrage of obscenities at her. She then began to follow McCain and his politics more closely and calls him mentally imbalanced. Then she said she found out about his marriage to his first wife Carol and she hated to say it, but she said 'Slick Willie has nothing on McCain!' She also studied his political record and says she is amazed that he has been able to survive politics for this long, considering all the dirt she uncovered about the man.
She told me during our recent conversation that she is completely disappointed in her party's pick of McCain and also Palin, who she characterizes as incompetent for the position she is stumping for. She says that beyond her personal encounters with McCain, she is also not impressed with his political agenda in the least. She said his loose cannon ways go hand in hand with his style of leadership. She says that she is still a Republican at heart, but there is no possible way she would ever support him in any way. She says she felt betrayed by GW Bush, especially in his 2nd term, but she is disgusted even more with McCain now. She says that despite our family's life long history of voting for the GOP ticket, she has no other choice but to vote for Obama. She says that she will not repeat the error she made with her third vote for the Bushes and will cross party lines in support of Obama. She still maintains that he still doesn't like the Democratic party in general, but to vote for McCain is wrong is every way. While not totally agreeing with all of Obama's politics, she believes that he is the only choice now. She went on to say that she fears for this country if McCain gets the nod and said that he is worse than Bush in every area, especially temperament.
As for myself, I am an Independent who would have enjoyed seeing Ron Paul in the race, but since he is out of the picture, my mother and I will finally be voting for the same candidates, Obama and Biden.

94. I thought Palin was as stiff as Susan Lucci's dance moves...she was trying so hard to play against type and seem serious...she was more monotone than ever...although who can blame her for not letting loose. The audience did NOT like her...Tina Fey does a better Palin than Palin herself. When Palin came back for the Weekend Update...it was too little too late...just like her & McCain's campaign...you betcha!
We are in the midst of a severely divided country...seriously, in times like these we need unity...this is the last anti-Palin message I'll be posting...and mine wasn't too harsh, anyway!

Thye've been sh*tty for a long time. And for the first time I saw that Tina Fay with the face of a skinny gimp squealing and I thought her impression of Palin was pretty poor. Palin was an idiot for going on that show. And just wtf is SNL going to do if Ubama becomes prez? His followers will riot if they mock their faux saviour. SNL should just close it down, because they're not funny anymore. It's embarassing.

Posted at 3:33PM on Oct 19th 2008 by Don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t blame me. I voted for Ron Paul!

96. First, Obama has not nearly enough experience to run this country - especially out of the hole it is in. Second, I can't stand people using the racial card. Someone shouldn't get your vote because he is (kinda) the color you are. How ridiculous! Why are minorities allowed to cry and moan every time they don't get something they want and blame it on their skin color? Not fair. Want an example? If you are white, just try getting a college scholarship - there aren't any unless you are a minority. Talk about racism. Vote for the man who has served this country...not the one who knows how to give a good (pre-written) speech.

Posted at 3:41PM on Oct 19th 2008 by No Obama!

97. Republicans are stupid. YEAH THAT'S RIGHT. JUST READ YOUR OWN COMMENTS!!! I travel throughout the world and speak to co-workers from Europe, Latin America, Asia etc. and they all think the same. BUSH in for 8 years and the stupid dorks want him again (MCCAIN). GET A BRAIN AND MAYBE PEOPLE WILL LIKE YOU MORE. DORKS!! DORKS!! DORKS!!!

When are white people going to STOP "crying and moaning" about minorities getting college scholarships?!

Black, white, brown, yellow, or green... EVERYBODY whines about something! It's up to each individual to, GET OVER IT!!

99. The country is not in a hole #98. Yes, the foreign policy is bad and so forth, but a hole? All these lib whiners have no idea what being in a hole is. You got your PC, you got freedom of speech, and most Americans are overweight. So it's all a matter of perspective.

And #100 you are just a plain silly numbskull that needs to get a real job. Ubama, if elected, is not going fart a purple rainbow and make your life any easier. Mostof that sh8t he wants to pass in Congress won't even go through with some democrats. Please read the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of independence. We have no kings elected.

100. 99. So as far as Barack Obama being Muslim just because his name is from Muslim decent, does that mean because my last name is German that I am a Nazi??

Posted at 3:44PM on Oct 19th 2008 by Jane

That depends Jane.

If you're voting for McCain....YES, that makes YOU and your German last name, a NAZI! Just ask a Liberal, they'll tell ya the same!

If you're voting for Obama....NO, that makes you and your German last name a smart, well educated and informed PROUD American! Just ask a Liberal, they'll tell ya the same!

Just keep in mind...electing a Black man with a Muslim name, will not make REAL Muslims or REAL Islamic extremists and terrorists, think any differently about you or I. We'll still be Western DEVILS who need our heads removed in honor of ALLAH and his 72 virgins. If Obama is a cardboard PROP...it's not going to work, so let's focus on more immediate issues like REAL economic recoveries and REAL security issues. Appeasements are not the American way and Obama will be all about appeasements. Why wouldn't he be...he and his wife have never been PROUD of America so what's to DEFEND???

Do you DEFEND things and people you're ASHAMED of?

Think about it for a while.

101. We are (all) the incarnate of Christ (if) we so choose to walk in this world in peace. No one race or religion is superior to another!

With all the ruthless activities of McCain and Palin since she joined the ticket, anything can happen and, especially, with what occurred with Bush-Cheney and the DNC stealing the 2000 election in Florida. It is critical that all Obama-Biden supporters (young people listen up as you can change the way things are heading in this country) make certain their vote is cast in the appropriate fashion.

My friends and I are counting the days until November 5 when Sarah Palin and her tribe can return to Alaska.

That depends....is affirmative action fair? Shouldn't everyone just be given EQUAL OPPORTUNITY as HUMANS, based on their individual merits and abilities? When you still believe that our country is RACIST and discriminates against people based on their skin color or nationality, then YES, you think we NEED affirmative action to level the playing field regardless of ability, we'll put people in positions of employment or power based on a quota to be met rather than needed skills.

This is indicative of how BAD American ingenuity and craftsmanship have fallen behind the rest of the world and why it's not all that great to keep businesses HERE.

If my being WHITE has kept a silver spoon in my mouth, I must have spit it out at an early age, because I've had to face all my troubles and pitfalls in life without the excuse of being black, brown, yellow, or green to make it better.....in my mind.

103. You gotta read John Galt's posts. Those things are the most hilarious things in the world. Awww, man thanks for the laugh John Galt.

104. I have to laugh at Colin Powell...of course he is going to vote for Osama. Typical. As for him thinking McCain doesn't have a grasp on the economy...laugh again...wasn't it Powell who agreed and went along with President Bush's wishes? Those blacks really stick together

Posted at 4:13PM on Oct 19th 2008 by Powell...nothing new here
