20. For heaven's sake guys! Stop harassing people who choose to stay pure until marriage. My husband and I have raised 5 kids- all WILLINGLY took a purity pledge, wore purity rings, and abstained from sexual intercourse until they married. They did not want someone to pressure them into giving away a part of themselves that they knew was truly more valuable than some one night stand. Purity pledges do not mean that people walk around like mindless robots spouting scripture verses. It is simply a very real way that people can demonstrate their desire to remain pure for their marriage partner. Give these people credit for setting their standard much higher than what societies norm is. My husband and I routinely pray for all of the young men and women who are brave enough to take such a stand. It can be very hard for them when people mock and ridicule their every move.
