19. Let's see, she's "not a criminal." Does a hit-and-run make you a criminal? Does abandoning your car in the middle of the road make you a criminal? Does running over two pap's feet with your car make you a criminal? Does "constant and habitual drug use" make you a criminal? Does flashing your privates in public make you a criminal?

She made bad choices but hardly a hit and run,I've seen abandoned cars hardly a criminal act just not a good idea.When paps are so close to your car they deserve to get their feet ran over. Drug and alcohol abuse (hear say) the judge used the bodyguard and the media to come to his decision."flashing" I have seen my share of celebs wearing no panties. On to Britney - if that had been a non-celebrity, they would have been prosecuted. This woman drives poorl and makes bad decisions (remember the lack of a car seat) while driving. She shouldn't be allowed near a moving vehicle.

23. It would be fair and good clean revenge if she filed complaints (not law suits) with the Bar and the state inspector. She could accuse the prosecutor of misconduct and the judge of being frivolous. The timing is perfect because later they can not come at her since she is under a conservator and until released it would be impossible to hold her responsible for the conservator’s actions.

Let these two defend their actions to their peers. Let’s see if they are accountable for the costs and effect of a jury trial for a class D misdemeanor that is typically settled with the charges dropped. Would love to see the ethics of a prosecutor running for public office taking on high profile cases with intense media scrutiny being reviewed by the bar and peers.

. My friend went through this same thing in that state and had a CA license when court day came,paid court cost and that was it. He also had a valid license but not in CA. Oh he was/is NOT a celeb Yes she has made bad choices but then alot of "non celebs" do to but they are not stalked/harrassed by paps for the world to watch.

You obviously haven't paid attention to the facts. Britney was stopped twice over the previous two years for driving without a California license, and both times, she was ordered to get a valid license. She took a babyish, arrogant, spoiled-brat attitude and refused to do that, and so this time, when she was caught a third time without a Calif. license, the prosecutors did what they would do to you or me or anyone else who ignored the the same traffic law THREE TIMES IN A ROW: they charged her with a misdemeanor.

She had the option to plead guilty, pay a fine, and be put under probation, which is the same thing that you or I would have to face if we stupidly thumbed our nose at the law in the same way. However, BRITNEY INSISTED ON GOING TO TRIAL. Yes, it was she and her lawyers who demanded that this case go to court, not the prosecutors.

So blame spoiled-brat, irresponsible, immature Britney for this pathetic waste of taxpayer money.

Maybe she'll actually get a California license now. If not, she will surely go to jail the next time she gets caught driving in Calif. without one.
