Britney Spears -- Mistrial!

Britney SpearsThe trial of the century is finally ovah!

The jury could not reach a verdict and the judge declared the whole thing a mistrial. The jury vote came back 10 not guilty, two guilty. That wasn't a waste of time at all.

Britney was popped for driving without a license last year -- and for reasons that defy explanation, it made it all the way to trial.

Jurors spent yesterday deadlocked 10-2 but were ordered to continue deliberating. She faced a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted of the misdemeanor.

Spears was a no-show the entire trial.

Prosecutors could ask for another trial. That would be a good use of taxpayer's money.

16. Well, it is clear that Big Mr. P is an idiot of massive proportions and what's scary is that he, and other idiots like him, will be voting this year. I am sure that Mr. P also voted for Bush, so I just want to thank you and all your other idiotic, moronic, small minded cohorts for putting this country in the precarious position that it is right now. In case you haven't noticed, this country is already run into the ground and it was put there by the Republicans

Palin is married to some that wanted to secessionist and has supported his group to have Alaska detach from the U.S. McCain doesn't know what he is doing, voted with Bush 90% of the time and can only send out negative messages because he has nothing of substance to stand behind. Yet you want people to vote for them? And by the way, Joe the Plumber isn't really a plumber, his name isn't really Joe and he is in no position to buy his bosses's business, much less pay the back taxes he owes. Obama's plan would help him; McCain's would hurt him. You're right, think of "Joe" but at least think, if you are capable of doing so.

As to Prop 8, VOTE NO. This is a proposition that is stripping people of their rights and takes us 50 years back in time. Gay people getting married has absolutely no effect on your marriage whatsoever and when divorce rates are at 50% or higher, what do you possibly think will happen if they are allowed to marry. And don't tell me that the Bible says that homosexuality is a sin - the same book of the bible that idiots on your level tend to quote, Leviticus, also governs ritualistic animal slayings, treating women poorly, keeping slaves and not eating shellfish. Do you follow all of the rules of Leviticus, or just the ones that suit your small minded, biggoted means?

18. The Prosecutor should be terrminated for bringing this to trial. No one else would have been put through this threat of jail for driving on an out of state license. Just like the crap they pulled on Paris Hilton, when no one else with driving on a suspended license and no priors, like Paris, ever spent more than 3 days in jail but they had a trial and held Paris on our tax dollars for 23 days. California wake up and please vote McCain/Palin to avoid more such nonsense at the national level which is what will happen if Obama is elected.

Obama is neither a Marxist nor a Socialist, he is a left-leaning Democrat who intends to lift the ridiculous tax breaks given to the wealthiest Americans and biggest corporations put in place by George W. (during a time of war!). Lifting these tax breaks will enable the government to take steps toward relieving the country of W's recession while keeping vital health, education and public safety mechanisms running.
The fact that you use Obama's middle name "Hussein" so prominently in your post points to your errant use of cultural differences to promote your political argument. One might even call that "racist", I certainly would. The country is tired of you bigots getting away with this crap. While many republicans are decent people, people like you in your party promote fear, hostility, ignorance and intolerance and we've aaaaaaaallllllllll had enough of it.

21. TMZ do your research! It made it to trial because she plead Not Guilty!! I know you love Britney because her pics make you money but please if you are trying to be journalists do your research! She could have avoided this if she had plead guilty from the start, but now she was found not guilty so I am sure she is happy stop feeling sorry for her, she is not as stupid as people make her out to be.

25. Sadly Obama will most likely win. More than sadly is the fact that California wasted untelling how much money on this Britney trial. How stupid and ridiculous for a trial. Whoever heard of having a jury trial for something like this. What you have here is a judge and/or a prosecutor that must be up for re-election.
