Nick Hogan Races to Freedom

10/21/2008 8:41 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

166 days in jail = leaving your friend in a vegetative state for life.
Nick Hogan: Click to watch
Nick Hogan was released from Pinellas County Jail just after midnight Tuesday morning. We're told he arrived back at his mom Linda's house to a thumping party, replete with loud music and cops surveying the scene.

And how's this for funny/creepy: a big-boned buxom blonde ran up to Nick as he walked free. None of the photogs could figure out whether it was Brooke or Linda. (Check the vid to see.)

Nick pleaded no contest to a felony charge of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury back in May. He was sentenced to eight months but only served the aforementioned 166 days due to "good time and gain time" credit.

His best friend, John Graziano, remains hospitalized and will require medical care the rest of his life.

I just noticed TMZ indicates nick is going back to reality TV as soon as he is released. I hope the viewers vote with their remotes and turn off any show nick is in.

Hey E.P. UNUM,
Please tell us how you really feel. I can only hope that you or anyone close to you never has to endure the scorn (some of it deserved) and the INTENSE media scrutiny that Nick will endure for the forseeable future. What bothers me most about the "haters" is what next? Nick did his time. Does spewing forth more disgust and venom really solve anything? Hasn't there been enough tragedy to go around? Say a prayer for John Graziano. Spend some of that angst and anger towards more productive results.

He couldve just as easily been left in the state John Graziano is in,people seem to forget this was an accident. Everybody acts like he crashed on purpose , he did 5 and a half months, let the kid move on with his life . Im sure he did alot of reflecting on his life in cell and has been humbled by this experience. Its a tragedy and everybody feels for the Graziano family.

This kid is a punk. Yes he was a juvinille at the time but since when does age dictate how well one knows right from wrong? A 16 year old knows just as much of what's right or wrong as and 18 year old. Yes John was a willing participant. But the driver is the one responsible for the passenger. Obviously Nick shirked his responsibility. The thing that scares me the most about Nick is the fact that he has no remorse. This shows his lack of compassion for others. Somebody like that should not be on the streets.

I know he's happy he can now do his "real-ality" show now about him getting on his feet and cash in on John being in a vegetative state for life.

Hey Vince McMahan are listening?..........Wrestlemania 25....Parents of John vs. Nick Hogan in a steel cage match! Parents get to bring leather straps, barbed wire baseball bats and salt to throw in the eyes of Little Nicky Butt Plug. After the parents win they get to super glue what's left of Little Nicky Butt Plug to the front of our next Space Shuttle and push the button sending Little Nicky Butt Plug out of the Earth's atmosphere............

This punk was/is/and will be morally/legally responsible for what he has done for the rest of his life. He chose to gamble with another person's life. It doesn't negate his personal responsibility in the least because the victim wanted to go along. Nick was in control of the operation of the vehicle and could have/should have said, No. We teach small children that things are NOT accidents when they are the direct result of something they weren't supposed to be doing in the first place. The devestation he caused is the direct result of his callous and purposeful actions. Merely saying that you didn't INTEND the bad effects of your knowing disobedience, doesn't absolve them and allow them to loosely redefine what an "accident" is. Or, just why do you think he was imprisoned?

This is such a sad and pathetic family. Hulk is an over the hill
steroid freak. Linda is a cocaine addled aging skank. Brooke is an
uneducated and untalented slam-pig. Nick is functionally retarded.
Hulk and Linda are not capable of parenting, neither Brooke nor Nick
could achieve a high school diploma, and Nick was incarcerated before
the age of 18. Nick will be back in jail soon enough, he is not smart
enough to adhere to the terms of his probabtion. His enabling family will let him drive and supply him with alcohol, watch and see.

hahahaha!

Drinking (under age mind you) and drag racing on a public street do NOT equal an 'accident' this was intentional bad behavior and disregaurd for EVERYONE's safety as well as the laws..... and it could have just as easily been a pedestrian or someone in another car who was killed or left brain dead, would you call it 'just an accident' then? I just wish the judge had implimented some sort of public service ruling on Nick requireing him to participate in the day to day care of John or others like him who have been forever damaged by drinking and driving on at least a weekly basis until he is 21 ..Jail taught Nick nothing and I'm sure we haven't heard the last from him .. He's only 18 he has a lifetime of drinking and driving ahead of him.

Funny you should mention that Hello Kitty, Judge D'Amico made it clear this was no accident but a sequence of events.
