R&B bigshot Lyfe Jennings just got nabbed by Georgia police for allegedly shooting off a gun, taking cops on a chase in a Corvette, and refusing to take a DUI test.

Smyrna, Ga. police tell us they were responding to a gunshots fired call when they spotted Jennings' Vette hightailing it away from the scene. A chase ensued and Jennings eventually crashed. He was charged with felony weapon possession by a convicted felon and he faces charges of attempting to elude, as well as discharging a firearm near a public highway and refusing to take the sobriety test.

Lyfe -- real name Chester -- was in prison from 1992-2002 after being convicted of arson.

34. Lyfe, we will not know what really caused you to do what you did. But I hope you get the best legal representation. You're in my prayers. Now for those who want to joke about who our next President will be, I am so happy that Sen. Obama will be the next US President. You see, it took a crazy, selfish, self centered, and greedy man and his administration to put America in such horrible conditions. It's not worth my time or others who believe Sen, Obama is the better candidate for the job to even argue with ignorance. Why would I get upset at racist comments when we all know, none of us want to live in poverty. Major businesses are either filing bankruptcy or going out of business. Unemployment rates are historically high. The US dollar has no value, meaning you lose money using the US dollar in other countries such as Canada. Come on now, it wasn't Sen. Obama's so called inexperience that caused this nightmare. It was the Gov of Texas turned US President who made sure he got what he wanted along with the V.P., and corporate leaders at the expense of the working and middle class people.
