Barneys Window -- Anti-McCain?

There's one store potential First Lady Cindy McCain may want to think twice about before dropping any of her beer heir millions ... Barneys New York.
Obama and McCain
The high-end NYC department store's windows currently feature paintings of all the First Ladies of yore and include portraits of both Michelle Obama and Mrs. McCain. While all the works by artist Laurie Munn were made to the women's general likeness, Cindy's looks uniquely ghoulish.

So the question -- by putting the pics up, has Barneys not-so-subtly endorsed Barack Obama? We contacted the store -- a little defensive.

A rep said the the pics are an artist's interpretation. We pressed and mentioned it was Barneys decision to plaster the pics in its windows. The rep told us to go talk to the artist, adding, "We do not take any political stance."

108. Remarkably acccurate portraits of both women. Cindy McCain looks waxed, plucked, and drugged - exactly as she looks in person. Michelle Obama looks healthy, alert, warm and engaging, as she is.

111. In my opinion the artist was kind to both of them... Michelle Obama can have a bit of a hardened, stern look to her at times, but is still an attractive woman. Cindy McCain is about as good looking as she can be and has the cosmetic surgery file to prove it, howver she is a cold fish when it comes to any discernable warmth in personality.

This is a total non-story though. I think the concept was a great one for the store, but obviously people can't take any form of art at face-value.. No, it HAS to be that the store owners lean left? I'm sure. If Frankenstein's bride and her fellow hens pick enough, I'm sure the display will be down before the weekend's out.. I feel bad for the artist, personally. Look at what he had to work with.

I don't want Obama as President because he and his wife are racists. They attended a church for over twenty years that preaches hatred toward whites and doesn't allow whites to attend the church. I believe that many are voting for Obama just because he is black and I consider that to be racist as well, I fear that he will divide our country and set it back it back 50 years. I am myself a black woman and attended church in my community where people of all races are welcome. I will not be voting for Obama because I don't believe he is good for our country. I see the Hitler mentality in many claiming to support Obama and it scares me.

115. i have read all the comments, for the most part, and this is ridiculous! the way the media is making a mockery of this country! we are voting for the next president, not trying to turn it into media hijinks and utter ignorance and racist views this and that...it seems to be the obama voting people are the more ignorant, nasty hateful people! wake up!!!

116. They had to do something to make Michelle Obama look attractive-she is way fat & fugly-I don't think that I have ever seen such an unattractive black woman-anyone that has seen Cindy McCain knows that she is strikingly beautiful-so her Barney's pic is just ridiculous

118. THE Associated Press (AP) has been Constantly Investigating political opponents of the Democrats ONLY , for years and years. The AP has states they are releasing an investigation that finds Palin’s kids traveled with her and the state might of paid for it. The AP knows this really means Nothing but will try to Embarass or Intimidate her and others at any turn . With the Anchorage Daily News siding with AP and many others indicators , I AM NOW CONCLUDING THAT THE AP & MAJORITY MEDIA IS STATE RUN DNC MEDIA or Orwellian Media.
Maybe , they seem to feel with their One sided Investigation (like Orwell indicated) that ‘All people are created equal , but New DNC/ Socialists are more Equal than others’.
Another Investigations came out against private citizen Joe the Plumber. The rise of STATE RUN DNC MEDIA will Only make Victims out of events or people that advance their political cause (Socialism)
