Palin Could Be the Real White Oprah

Whether or not John McCain wins the White House, Sarah Palin will come out smelling like, well, Oprah.

The Governatrix is the hottest property in media, and the Hollywood Reporter says producers and agents all over showbiz are trying to figure out what to do with her -- and one serious possibility could be an Oprah-style talk show. "The passion she has on each side, love and hate, makes television people say, 'Wow, imagine the viewership,'" says morning-show vet Steve Friedman.

One person who might not be stoked about her increased exposure is her dad, who the Chicago Sun-Times says "hit the roof" when he saw a porn-ed up Sarah-alike.

31. Sarah Palin is ONE HOT BABE!

WOW!

I think that a good TV show for her would be Mud Wrestling With The Stars.

Either that or Nude Celebrity Bowling.

Posted at 5:04PM on Oct 24th 2008 by Sarah would kick (and show) ass!

32. A talk show? She's the last person who should ever have a talk show. She can't even answer questions with some kind of intelligence. Much less offer an actual answer.
Geezz.........Ask this woman any kind of questions and all she does is fill a void with lots of "extra words" that say nothing. She's empty headed.......that's my opinion and I'm sticking to it!

33. Sarah...go lay by your dish.

Posted at 6:30PM on Oct 24th 2008 by You wish she would

34. Jet, what exactly are you doing? The exact same thing you are attacking others for. I am not going to put you down or call you an idiot. You did that to yourself. If that person really bothers you that much, politely tell them why, dont act the same--and then trying to say Obama is a terrorist?? Come on, that is insane.

On Palin, I just can not understand why some feel she is so "great and wonderful". She talks in circles. I have yet to hear her give a straight forward answer to anything. Round-about, spin on the topics--yes. I am a working mother close to her age. And to tell you the truth, my heart breaks for that little baby. He is getting used as a picture prop--and it hurts me. He will end up getting raised by a nanny or one of his sisters if she continues this pace. Yes, she has right to work, but where is that line?? I wish I could feel pride for her, but she does not represent me or most other working mothers I know--or most women. And honestly, McCain is using her and it makes me sick. From what I understand, she is treated totally different than typical male candiates--treated more like a "secretary" than an equal, then has to go out and be the attack dog. The attacking and "inflating" of false/positive statements is very unbecoming to her. She should not have to be this way to prove her abilites. Exactly why she is doing this--so she does not have to explain her abilities. This whole situation bothers me--the way the press treats her and now hollywood? I feel that this is a historic election for African Americans, but not as much for Women. Yes she has made history books by being on the ticket. . . but lets face it, she is not treated as an equal more like a pawn. She is getting used, but does not seem to mind or (hopefully not) is so dumb she does not realized it. I feel also bad for her pregnant daughter. How embarassing--and her fiance is not ever registered to vote. I would never put my child under the spot light to improve my career. Each their own, but for me she should handled that so much differently.

35. After Sarah Palin looses the election, she should go back to Alaska and TRY to be a better mom to her kids. Bristol could use some guidence from her mom. And don't forget Trig, who's life she endangered when she boarded a plane for Texas while 8 months pregnant (so she could win an award). Sarah has shown a serious lack of judgement in many instances. I'm not anti-feminist, I'm saying she doesn't have what it takes.

SARAH GO HOME

37. Sarah Palin a white Oprah? Oprah's a brilliant improvisational entertainer who can make millions of people laugh, cry, get inspired and get energized day after day, year after year, decade after decade during the most competetive and fragmented media age ever. Sarah Palin in a nice enough lady, but she will never be in the same GALAXY let alone league as Oprah who is a world-class talent.

38. 33. Wow, LMAO @ post #28 -- very lame attempt at a smoke screen to cover NOBAMA's affiliation with terrorists. WHAT a typical ignorant liberal hater. You need to get an education and stop with the typical liberal spinning and twisting to justify OBAMA's fraud. You are laughable and should be ashamed of yourself.

(these are stars and stripes)

I don't like Obama any more than I like McCain, and I think that poster #28 has raised a valid issue. If Obama's connection with Ayers is worth looking at in this campaign, then so is Palin's connection with AKIP.

You can't have it both ways, poster #33. If you want people to judge the candidates by their past associations, then Palin has to be subjected to that same scrutiny. She doesn't get a pass simply because _you_ are in favor of her and McCain.

So tell us, poster #33: what do you know about Palin's past association with AKIP? Do you believe it's justified? What does her association with them say about her?

For the record: I have heard the arguments about Obama being associated with "terrorists", and I think it's a load of crap. He worked for an educational program that Ayers was involved with, and a former Republican in the Reagan Administration, Ken Adelman, was also involved with this organization. Is Adelman also a terrorist supporter?

I also believe that it's total crap to be dumping on Palin for a past association with AKIP.

However, _you_ think that Obama's past association with Ayers is important, therefore, _you_ cannot weasel out of addressing Palin's past association with AKIP.

The only thing worse than a liar is a hypocrite. You seem to be both.

39. I agree with mcfar73 -- lots of people talking about how 'hot" Palin is, and even attacking other posters who don't like Palin by saying that that poster must be physically unattractive and "jealous" -- I don't like Palin because she can't seem to give direct, intelligent answers to important questions, except in those limited areas in which she has some experience (such as energy); she claimed that she didn't answer Katie Couric's questions because she (Palin) was "annoyed" -- well, what's Palin going to do when she is trying to dialogue with heads of state from around the world and something annoys her then? In the debate she refused to answer certain questions, and when asked to name magazines and other publications that shaped her world view, she seemed lost and was unable to come up with an answer to that very significant question, either -- didn't even mention her local newspaper. I too feel she is using her children for photo-ops and as an attempt to present some sort of "family values" persona to the world, but I would respect her more if she had her special-needs infant in bed at a decent hour, not being handed around under harsh tv lights -- and I question the true motives of a mother who would subect her pregnant teenage daughter to international scrutiny during what is most definitely a very emotional, vulnerable time in that child's life. Furthermore, I believe that everyone has a right to control their own reproductive destiny by making their own personal choices regarding birth control and yes, abortion -- don't have one if it violates your own beliefs, but do not force those beliefs on the rest of the country and don't use your right-wing evangelical Christian beliefs to determine those choices for me and my friends and family members. I have no doubt that Palin would use her power and position to foist her personal religious beliefs in such areas on everyone else. I consider myself very pro-child and pro-family....I put my career on hold for many years so that I could be a stay-at-home mom, a decision I have never regretted, and now that I have an empty nest, my husband and I are foster parents because we feel that's an area where we can really make a difference for children. I resent it when people like Palin and other right-wing Republicans try to convince voters that being pro-child and pro-family can only look, sound, and vote a certain way. I have already voted for Obama/Biden because overall, they represent me, and my views, much better than Palin and McCain.

40. To Buddha Lady: I just want to tell you that I have read quite a few of your posts, and I admire and respect you a lot. You actually _think_, and you make choices after reflection and honest self-evaluation. You don't seem to make snap, knee-jerk judgements based on ideology or image, but rather, on the merits of the question at hand and how it relates to your own personal beliefs and values.

It is a welcome and refreshing change to read what you write here. And thank you for being so open with us about the thought process you use for making decisions. This allows us to see how a thoughtful, honest, questioning, intelligent, and sincere person can approach all aspects of life. All of us here can learn from you.

I don't know what to tell a Buddhist that corresponds to "God bless you", but whatever it is, I send you that message from my heart.

I'm sure lots of other people here are equally thankful and appreciative.

Posted at 2:09PM on Oct 25th 2008 by Thank you.

41. I posted earlier, but my message was deleted. It's probably because of the naughty words that I used. So I'll try again with a slightly altered version ...

I'm another person who is offended and appalled that someone photoshopped a picture of a woman in her bra and pasted Sarah Palin's head on it.

What I want to see is a picture of the REAL Sarah Palin in her bra. None of this fake stuff. I'd also love to see some shots of her showing what's under that bra. And her derriere. And her coin purse. I know she'll put Britney and Paris Hilton to shame.

As for Palin having a talk show, sure, that would be great, as long as she gives us some action along with the talk.

I'm sick and tired of all those stuffy old men and frigid women in Washington. We need a hot babe like Sarah for Vice President who will give (and show) her all for her country.

42. I will not vote for a man [ Obama} who has association with Louis Farrakan Black Muslim, Nation of Islam, Raille Odinga Head of National Muslim Movement in S.Afrika [ 2006] , lies about his family involvement at Auschwitz [ Holocaust] ,donated 860.000 dollars to the ACORN project 2008 [fraudulent registration], pushed for risky low interest rate mortgages[ Fanny Mae , Freddy Mac, which is presently costing the taxpayer 470 million dollars, in conjunction with Clinton, Barney Franks. democrats. Oscama, talks the walk.........but won't walk the walk. He will not improve the economy.....but he will affect your freedom. I cannot vote for a man whose wife states;" this is the first time that I am proud to be an American" ,when her husband was nominated for president. Thank you Michelle Oscama, for using & bleeding the American people , the country that you have not been proud of. What a farce, to have, as president of the United States, such a man...........not even born in America. I have researched Oscama's history. There is not a way that I could trust this man .
