18. It is almost 2009 and I can't believe some of the ignorant and petty crap that still comes out of some folks mouths. The "jungle" huh. The "jungle" doesn't have planes to fly the massive amounts of drugs pumped into it. The "jungle" didn't tell the Arab and Korean owned liquor stores to post on every corner. The "jungle" doesn't under fund the schools in the just their areas. The "jungle" doesn't want the police to beat and arrest innocent people or sell guns to their kids. I refuse to even lower myself to your level by telling how I feel about you and people like you; but what I will tell you is that I will pray for you. Have a blessed one.

19. Mitzi I think it's a case of it will never happen to me as far as JHud's mother goes. She lived in the neighborhood so long that she thought that since she was not involved in crime and violence that it would not be visited upon her. I think that if she didn't want to move she should at least had more security measures put at her home such as an alarm system and cameras to help deter some crazy commiting crime. At least the authorities could have gotten this crime on tape. Jennifer's reps should have had the foresight to have done this for her mother.

21. it seems weird they were still living in that crappy neighbhorhood. They had a famous family, they should have and probably could have moved. ALthough this loser was a family member, and he'd have found them anyways. What a sad story.

22. Jennifer Hudson just moved out of that house last year. She offered to move her mother but they did not want to be moved. They lived there all of their lives and were set in their ways. When my father moved us out of the "hood" my mother did not want to go and down right refused until the last day, then decided to go for the sake of my brother and I. She still goes down to that god awful place to this day. No it's not odd at all that people who live in a bad neighborhood would want to remain there.

Jennifer Hudson has been in like two movies and is just at the beginning of her career. She's made way less than one million bucks before taxes. She simply doesn't have the money to buy everyone in her extended family a house in a gated community. Even if she had the likely trigger man in this incident would have been along for the ride. Use a little common sense why don't you.

27. I couldn't agree more with the very first comment made. I don't understand why this is plastered all over TMZ. First, Jennifer H. is really not newsworthy. Second, this is the kind of stuff that goes down with blacks all the time. C'mon folks, stop making a big deal about this.

Every body knows especially when your BLACK wheather you wanna move or not....when you getting them dollars it is just not safe.........yes it was the girls responsibility not to bring this drama on her moms......she was famous and could not help that......It was an unsafe situation for her moms period...........Haters have flooded our hoods in the 2000's.......this is not the 70's its a spiritual warfare out here....if you a crab out the barrel you parents are prime targets....Freak family.....but parents and children are exceptions to those rules.........

29. The lady didn't move because this was her home, the place where she raised her family. This is where her memories - good, bad, ugly - were. Even if Ms. Hudson had moved her mother to a better neighborhood this might have still happened given the prime suspect is a family member who was living in the home with her. Revenge motivated, cold blooded murder - MURDER, not "murda" which, by the way, isn't even a word!! The culprit has no conscious, no remorse, no heart. If he did he'd be talking and telling someone where this poor child is. What kind of sick individual kills because the victim(s) stopped him from stealing a car??? I can only hope and pray that Gods justice is as cruel and painful as this cowards actions.
