Boy Shot In Head

A source close to the Chicago murder investigation says the murdered 7-year-old suffered at least one gun shot to the head.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has not yet confirmed the boy is in fact Julian King ... the FBI says it believes the body is that of Julian.

Sean Howard, a spokesman for Cook County, says Jennifer Hudson has not yet arrived to ID the body -- but should be there shortly.

31. This is so horribly disgusting! How someone can kill a baby like that. Look at his sweet little face. I'm sickened!
I agree with #4

4. For all of you who don't believe in the death penalty, do you honestly believe the monster that killed these people deserves to live? This is a tragedy, and for their killer to remain in jail for years eating up the taxpayer's money is absurd.

32. This whole thing is a tragedy. I hope the monster who is responsible for this gets as much mercy shown on them as they showed to their victims. My thought and prayers are with the Hudson family during this very difficult time.

33. I'm with you Mandi - just a little confusing

18. Is anyone else confused as to why Jennifer is being sent to ID the child and not the parents who would know more about birthmarks and things such as that?

And all of this over a freaking car, some people should never even have been born!

When we decide who lives and dies, in a sense we are just as bad as a crazed maniac

what's wrong with life in prison, no parole

the guy will suffer every day

the death penalty is an easy way out

35. I hope that none of the people at this site today will face a gun to their heads. It must be an unspeakable horror and I cannot but help to think that the last moments of this boy must have been awful. Shame on anybody that make light of this or thinks it is not "news". I agree that there have been probably way too many posts on TMZ, but maybe that is a way for contorlling content size to the trheads.

Be compassionate, people. Any day one of use could find ourselves in the same place. Rich or poor....; educated or not.

There is a saying that it takes a village to raise a child. All I am saying is to be good in your neighborhhod. It doesn't matter what "type" of neighborhood it is. Rich or poor...Republican or Democrat. We all mean something and we all deserve to grow up. Just try to pay it foreward is all I am saying. It can be something as small as letting someone in during traffic or as huge as saving a life. The point is that we all matter.

I have seen humainity at its kindness and at its worst.

Try to be kind and decent.

36. That poor child, the terror his last moments must have been filled with. It's heart-wrenching to think of. BTW, the suspect is NOT his father, it's his step-father.

37. To #25, you say "He needs to live while being tortured, death is tooooo easy for an animal like him. "... while that's a nice thought, unfortunately free room and board and meals is not torture for this animals. I've heard lots of story's about many criminals commit crimes so they CAN go to prison. There they don't have to worry about the rent or where there next meal is coming from.

No - would you want to identify the body of your murdered child? Also, this sister doesn't seem to be in the best mental state as it is... maybe Jennifer has a better head on her shoulders. She obviously does, she got out of that neighborhood and made something of herself.

40. #31 and #18, I have 4 sons and honestly, I don't ever, ever want to ID their bodies. I would prefer that a family member do it. It is too much to handle emotionally. I would want my memories to be free of seeing that. I believe that may be why Jennifer will ID the body. This is a horrible trajedy and my heart breaks for the family.

Julian still had a father that has not been considered a possible suspect as far as I have heard. I just think Jennifer has been through enough pain having to ID her brother and Mother. Give her some relief and let Julian's father or mother if she is not a suspect ID him. Even if she is a suspect, she can always give a positive ID.

45. Death Penalty! Death Penalty! Death Penalty!

Death Penalty! Except, make it last for a good loooong time. So, I sorta agree with, #30 -- Why do they have to make it quick? (Shoot a few holes in him and starve him too).
