FBI -- Closing in On ID'ing Body

The FBI has now said the body discovered today in an SUV in Chicago is "believed to be" that of Julian King, Jennifer Hudson's 7-year-old nephew.

Chicago cops have not yet commented.

It is worth noting -- the Amber Alert for Julian has been called off.

136. I have not noticed, in any news article, anything about "where" the mother of this child was. Has anyone seen anything indicating where she was at the time of the murders and abduction of this little boy? Her "myspace" is not exactly pleasant - but I guess it presents herself as she wants others to see her. Just sad.

139. This is so sad and so senseless. My prayers go out to the family and friends and the family. To die in this manner is sad. I can only hope and pray that justice will be served swiftly and without fail in this case. And, who ever is guilty suffers and pays and no mistakes are made in the justice process. Lets all pray for peace for the family as they mourn and justice served.

143. This is horrible. What does someone get out of killing a 7 year old. (What does a person get out of killing anyone?) But 7 years old. Come on, this child did nothing wrong. The husband should get the death penalty!!!!

144. Condolences to the entire Hudson family and friends. Unfortunately, we are living in tumultuous times and terrible things happen to family, friends, & neighbors who are from all walks of life. Glad many responses were aimed at "Amy" who I hope will never have to walk in the Hudson family "shoes." Verna from New York City

145. Thank you Raylee!! Maybe if law abiding citizens in Illinois were able to carry guns - rather than just the criminals who have no regard for the law anyway, these three people would still be with us. The concealed carry law is definitely working for us here in Minnesota.

118. The guns that are killing people are not bought in stores, they are bought in an alley somewhere, and usually don't even have the serial number on it anymore. Why punish the people that buy guns to hunt (and by that I mean the people, like farmers, who hunt for FOOD not for FUN)? We need to find another solution to end the violence.

Julia Hudson was confirmed to be at work when all of this took place.

148. #55 - no i havent and probably wouldnt do a background check on a boyfriend but i certaintly wouldnt marry or let alone date a guy that i knew had a criminal record like Williams, like Julia had to have known. Its one thing to date a guy and not know that he has a criminal record, its another to know and still choose to date him. She was very very wrong to bring such a dangerous man into her home, when she had such a young child. Of course she did not pull the trigger and so this really isnt her fault but it MUST be a lesson learned for the rest of us. It really really disgusts me to hear people defend her in choosing to date an attempted murderer!!!

149. number 133 I don't agree at all! That sounds so dangerous! Are you crazy? Putting a gun in everyone hands? That just makes it easier for kids to get access to guns. That's why you hear about all these stories about kids taking guns to school that get it from their parents. It's not all on the streets people. There should be better regulations. Letting a person walk in and get a gun after 30 minutes is not going to cut it. The best example is the Virginia Tech guy who had a mental problem history but the store did not detect it because the gun laws suck! Europe's crime decreased once they got better gun laws. Fact. If it worked for Europe, it can work here. I'm not talking about criminals I'm talking about middle America! So many cases where kids have taken guns from their parents and shot up people. You make it easy access than anyone who gets a little upset is going to grab a gun and there will just be more crime. Back in the old days people just got in fights and that was that, nowadays it's much too dangerous to make it so easy to get guns.

150. I agree Denise. Some women are so insecure and desperate they will get with any guy. Come on she knew this man was a straight up thug. You can't have those people around you. This is an awful thing that's happened and ofcourse we are devastated to hear what happeend to the Hudson family but that is why we are discussing this because it needs to be said. This is where it all begins. People need to take threats seriously. According to neighbors the guy threatened the girl out louad saying he would kill her family but she didn't take it seriously and just let it go. You can't ignore threats like that! Especially these days!
