Drug Raid at Hudson Murder House in 2002

TMZ has obtained court documents in Chicago that show how the lives of the people in the Hudson murder tragedy have intersected.

We've obtained arrest reports and other docs in connection with a sting operation in Chicago. On March 4, 2002, Chicago cops targeted Jason Hudson, Jennifer's murdered brother, and Gregory King, the father of Julian, the murdered 7-year-old boy. Both men allegedly sold crack cocaine to a registered informant. Cops then raided the very home where Jason was murdered last week. According to documents, Jason, Gregory and Julia (Jennifer's sister) were all arrested.

Julia was never charged with a crime. Jason was charged with cocaine trafficking, but the main count was dismissed in 2004 because the judge ruled police conducted an illegal search. During that hearing, Jennifer's mom had to choose whether to go to Hollywood to watch her daughter on "American Idol" or be in court...she chose the latter.

Gregory was convicted. Jason agreed to enroll in a drug abuse program and the less serious remaining charge was dismissed.

Cops say Jason and Gregory were affiliated with the gang, Gangster Disciples. That's the same gang that William Balfour, the "person of interest" was in. The lawyer who repped Jason told TMZ cops often jumped to conclusions and assumed people in that neighborhood were gang members.

31.
I can only imagine the life Julian lived in his short 7 years. Too think what that little guy heard and saw is too hard to imagine. The poor kid never stood a chance for a decent life. Not with just the mother, dad and step dad, but the Uncle and Grandmother. There is no way in my opinion, that Grandma didn't know what was going on in her own house. If the cops busted them back in 2002 and knew that little kid was living there under those conditions, then shame on the cops for leaving that kid to live in that enviornment. I wonder how his life would have turned out had he been allowed to live. Julia knew about the drugs, if she loved her little boy why would she expose him to that kind of a life. And to think there are thousands of little kids being brought up the same way is sickening.

32. Poor Justin. He really didn't have a hope since his father, uncle and stepfather were all gang members and his mother was a gang groupie. While I am sad that he is dead, he probably would have ended up just like the "responsible adults" in his life and either killed people, sold drugs or committed other criminal acts.

35. Jennifer Hudson never appealed to me. Perhaps my gut instinct was telling me something. I wasn't listening. Now, we know what and where she came from. What a rotten society we live in when our youth looks up to such a role model enmeshed in illegal drugs and death. Shame on you Jennifer, standing up there singing the National anthem -- she even briefly became Obama's poster girl -- there is no point in me going on because you catch my drift.

Frankly, I am now reconsidering that the grandmother was not such an innocent victim afterall. She knew what her kids were up to. She was as much an opportunitist as the kids who were growing up in that household - that seven year old was likely to become a gang statistic sooner or later anyhow.

This is a site for celebrity news. Since when did Julia become a celebrity?

It's time to move on .... TMZ.

36. This is so sad that the media are talking about these people in their death! Jennifer hasnt even laid them to rest before the media is airing out all of her families dirty laundry. There are thousands of people who have people in their family doing drugs, selling drugs, and so on in both neighborhoods white and black all colors and all financial backgrounds look at lyndsey lohan look at britney hello putting her children in danger while high, what makes her any different yet she has a number one song out she was welcomed back into the public, lyndsey is still making movies, come on now people it happens everywhere but no one deserves to have their life taken away or deserves to lose a child or parent! Over drugs and gang violence this is something that is all over our nation and there are way more things to talk about then to bring down someone who is already mourning her family but to have strangers say they deserve it or that she was lucky to not be there when you lose people u love it hurts far more to mourn them.

37. there is only one innocent in the whole mess: julian. his grandmother should have taken that child and moved far far away from all the craziness and let these people destroy themselves if that's what they chose to do. if i ever hear of julia hudson having a baby again and she's still associating with gangs and drugs and all the rest, i will call child protective services myself. since these people have no respect for their own lives or the lives around them, someone needs to step in. if only the grandmother had stepped in and did what she knew was right. instead she, and her grandson, paid the ultimate price. hopefully they have peace in heaven now.

38. First and foremost I want to send my condolences to all affected by this tragedy. Now on to my thoughts...I hate to say it but Julia knows more than she is telling. Her behavior is very suspicious and doesnt seem to be the behavior of a person who lost their mother, brother and son. With the world the way it is today, I don't put anything past anyone(family members and close friends included). I pray that when it all unfolds Julia and even her husband William are not involved.

39. also dont forget cops are just as bad they plant drugs at peoples houses remember it was dropped because they went in without the proper paper work so they were not convicted of selling drugs or trafficking drugs it was later thrown out

40. Ok now I am one that questioned Julia days ago, and people said I was wrong. Well now what? Honestly, it doesn't mean she had anything to do with this whole thing, but, it doesn't look good. And now I don't feel so terrible for wondering what is wrong with her . But I feel terrible that this is the kind of life that little boy and Jennifer have had to live through and the little boy didn't make it out. And as for once a person said Jennifer never took her family on the red carpet, well I know she has before, but she hasn't much and it's not surprising at all. I just hope her mother wasn't into all this drug crap and was just stuck putting up with it. I hope the mother was more like Jennifer and they got their ways from the father or something.

41. This may sound horrendously morbid and incredibly stupid of me (but please comment and critisize me if you want--that's what these posts are for) BUT maybe Jennifer's life may have been saved by these awful turn of events.

Who knows how her life would've been if this tragedy didn't happen? It makes me wonder if, in spite of her fame, good life style and money, would Jennifer be lulled into the gansta, sleezey, effed up life that her late sister and brother we tangled up in? Her mother didn't want to leave that area. Just wondering. It's a shame that Jennifer's family was executed like that. Rest in Peace. God Bless.

42. Jennifer needs to get out of Dodge the second her family is buried and leave her sister behind. Julia will be like a noose around her neck on many levels, I really hope Jennifer has a bodyguard! Poor girl, go have a quiet wedding ceremony in Tahiti and let your sister live in that horror house for the rest of her life. Give her enough $ to pay the bills and minimal for food, she should be shopping on the outer aisles anyways for her own health. Good Luck to Jennifer moving forward with her fiance....but get FAR AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and don't bring tht lovely sister of urs!!!!!!!

Posted at 6:51PM on Oct 29th 2008 by hate to say this !

43. Boy-O-Boy, what a mess. I feel bad for the Hudson family. And I also feel bad for Jennifer's fiance' David (what a lovely man). He is probably saying, Gee, I got away from New York's Ghetto ass and now this. Poor man. And I mean no disrespect whatsoever to the deceased.
