Hudson Killings -- Did Balfour Have Help?

There's evidence this morning suggesting there may have been another person involved in the murder of Jennifer Hudson's mother, brother, and nephew.

Investigators have honed in on William Balfour's movements after the killings on Chicago's South Side, according to the Chicago Tribune, and "are trying to determine" if someone else drove the prime suspect to the West Side, where the body of 7-year-old Julian King was found.

Witnesses have told cops they saw Balfour drive a teal Chrysler to the Hudsons' block on Friday morning, and that car was eventually found about a mile away. The SUV in which Julian was discovered ended up about 13 miles away from the Hudson house.

76. I want to thank Joann as well for the assist with #55's post. I keep reading all these nasty comments about how some of the posters can not write well, however; at least they are trying. I have been willing to read some several times, because I am interested in knowing what everyone has to say, not just those whose syntax, diction, spelling etc. suit my fancy. Help and stop criticizing. For some of you who struggle with your language skills, I suggest that you read, read, read. It doesn't matter what, just read. God bless all of you for caring enough pro or con, to state your opinions. We live in a world where too frequently we allow ourselves to be spoken for because we fear our ability to properly articulate. Again, if the critics can't understand a post, move on, but putting someone down is not cool. I wonder, in what, do some of you fail.

77. It would not surprise me that he would have someone help him......I don't think he would walk those distances. And the expression is HOMED in (it is an old flying term meaning to get your bearings and head in to a destionation), not HONED in (as to sharpen a razor).

78. I think Julia is involved. She is just not showing remorse. Her whole interview was so fake. She does not look sad because when you plan something you can't bring on the true tears. She looked worried like oh my God I can't believe we really did this. MAY YOU ROT IN HELL YOU FAT HEARTLESS PIG!!! This was a premeditated crime and I hope the gun that was found will prove it all. Stay off my space and help your sister who is truly mourning plan a triple funeral.

79. Come on TMZ you all are sleeping on me. Look what I've found:

Julia Hudson's Emotional Plea Doubted by Some Investigators
Chicago, IL—Based on numerous inconsistent statements made by Julia Hudson some investigators now believe that when that impassioned press conference was held little Julian King’s mother already knew the truth. That he was already dead.

Sources close to this investigation have raised several doubts.

Julia Hudson, her murdered brother Jason Hudson along with Gregory King and William Balfour were involved in the selling of drugs. Julia Hudson has known the motive for the killings all along but has misled investigators about important facts.

Police have obtained the cell phone records that reportedly tell a much different story that Julia Hudson gave police.

Police have made inroads with at least one of these players that has turned snitch giving police information including the actual location of the murder weapon.

Is Julia Hudson a better actress than her Academy Award winning sister Jennifer?

80. to all of you saying what julia should have done when she entered the house was run through it like crazy looking for her son regardless of the dead bodies on the floor? it she had done that, i would have been convinced that she was involved, by the simple fact that she would have been aware at that very moment that the main person who could have been responsible was william and possibly an accomplice (that she knew) had left the house already. no one in their right mind goes running through a house with dead bodies on the floor looking for anybody...the killer or killers could still be there waiting for you.

so shut up all you parents on here saying what you would do, no mother knows what they would do if faced with that situation, i don't care what you say.

81. Another article- this one's from sandra rose. I have also included another theory that I've put together surrounding Jason Hudson.

Article:
Neighbors told Newsradio780 that Jason regularly sat in a chair in front of the home all day, every day.

As I told you yesterday, police believe they have located the murder weapon. A woman called in a tip to police describing a white Suburban similar to the one found on Monday with Julian King’s body inside.

She said the vehicle cut through a vacant lot near Kolin Avenue and she watched as the occupants tossed a weapon out a window. The witness said she saw two men in the vehicle driving throughout the neighborhood on Saturday.

Theory 2: Jason Hudson's Involvement

Jason Hudson has had a few run ins with the law. Perhaps he owed some people some money and they were coming after him. I'm not sure what Ms. Donnerson's schedule would've been like on a regular school day and what time Julian went to school. Maybe she normally took him to school, and didn't come home from dropping him off until around 9:30. If the killers had been watching the house all week, and noticed this pattern, maybe they didn't expect to find Mrs. Donnerson and Julian there on Friday. I mean, it wasn't like it was a major holiday. This would've explained a few things:

1)Why Jason went from being shot downstairs to going upstairs in his bedroom. Did he have something in his bedroom that the killers wanted? Otherwise, why did they let him walk upstairs instead of shooting him in cold blood like they did his mother?

2)They weren't expecting to see Julian. I think this may have really posed a problem for them as they struggled with what to do with him and the person couldn't bear to kill a 7 year old kid. I mean, they had enough heart not to kill the dog- but then again the dog can't talk. Whoever killed Jason and his mother probably didn't kill Julian- they got someone else to.

The sad thing is, this poor boy witnessed the murder and became a liability.

I'm still trying to figure out what Julia's motive could be. The only things I can think of is a)to do this to frame William b)to plan this with some other people in order to get money (ransom for julian-hence the cut off hand, drugs or drug money from jason- did he keep his stash in his bedroom where his body was found?) c) to collect insurance money

I hope the Chicago Police does a good job and looks at all angles.

82. For #47 and #47 - Here in Chicago, the story of what neighbors in the Lawndale community saw, or didn't see, is getting stranger by the day. My personal feeling is that after the discovery of the SUV with little Julian's remains on Monday morning, lots of folks are just jumping on the media bandwagon to get their moment in front of the camera.

I was watching TV as the first news broke early Monday just before 8 AM. First "witness" story was from a man and his wife on the block who were up early watching news, which carried the usual message of the Amber Alert, description of the vehicle, and license number. Shortly afterward, the man went outside to walk the dog, noticed the vehicle, made note of the license number, and went inside to ask his wife if it was the same. They called police. Another older lady interviewed that morning stated that she had taken her walks on the block every day for over 30 years, and she too first saw the SUV Monday morning... was going inside to call police when she saw they were already driving up (in response to the first call a bit earlier). She and several other neighbors said at that time that they weren't sure when the SUV got to the block, but it definitely wasn't there as of nightfall on Sunday, so someone had brought it there overnight.

By evening, the story was different. The wife of the guy who walked the dog changed her story... said on camera that she actually thought the SUV "might have been there Saturday." More neighbors then claimed that they had seen it before her, on Friday. Interviews were like a "No, I saw it first" contest. Only the elderly lady who takes walks stuck to her original story, swore it wasn't there as of Sunday night.

Next day, someone who lives on the block where William and his girlfriend stay (not where the SUV was found) came up with another statement. He told reporters that he was sure he'd seen the SUV around 12:30 or 1 PM FRIDAY, and park in front of the building where William's grlfriend lives. He said a man got out after taking something out of the glove compartment... said it might have been a liquor bottle. The driver went into the building, came back out after staying only about 10 minutes, then drove off.

After the weapon was found yesterday, police sources said that one of the parties involved in the situation (not identified, of course) had decided to cooperate and give some information. (This information told police where to search for the weapon. AFTER this news had been all over TV and radio for a whole day, some OTHER neighbors came forward to say that they saw the SUV drive aross a vacant lot and someone threw something out the window... in the bushes where the gun was found... on Saturday.

Today... back on William's girlfriend's block... someone now says they saw TWO guys in the SUV driving around THERE on Saturday.

Point is, who knows if any of these "witnesses" are credible, or if folks just want to have something to say in front of the camera. The news in Chicago was, of course, almost completely devoted to the Amber Alert since about 4 PM Friday afternoon; vehicle description and license number were even posted on marquee signs at Walgreen's, banks, and advertising billboards, and all over the expressways. No one who lives in Chicago could have been anywhere near a TV or radio without knowing that this vehicle was wanted. Yet none of these "witnesses," except for the elderly lady and the guy walking his dog, who were the first ones on the street after daybreak Monday morning, came forward until AFTER the media was in the area, and they had already seen everything on the news. If they really had seen the vehicle prior to Monday. and were interested in giving information to help solve this horrific crime, they could have called police instead of waiting until they could get their moment of fun in front of the cameras covering a "celebrity" event.

It's hard to know what folks really "saw," if anything. All we know for sure is that the SUV was being driven around by someone else long after William was already in custody, which happened around 6 PM Friday evening.

Headline for this thread asks "Did Balfour have help?" Maybe our question should be, "Does he even know what actually happened?' As of tonight, he still has been charged with no crime, and it's now clear that there was lots going on long after he was already in police custody.

83. TO the others: This is not politcal! I work in Law Enforcement and violent crimes happen in ALL parties and in ALL neighborhoods. Sorry to dissapoint those who would like to believe "crime doesn't happen in their neighborhood".

TO: "Believe". You're analysis is so true and very interesting. A mother's natural instinct is to search for her child - without even thinking. It's the same as when a child is missing. A parent, especially a mom will help the authorities no matter what - even if she's under suspicion by the police herself. She'd answer any questions without an attorney because her number one focus and goal is to "get her child back".

But this isn't about casting blame or judgement on the family right now, this is about supporting the justice system to ensure that whomever did do this - pays the highest penalty for doing so. I'm quite sure, whatever ill-judgement issues ocurred in the past regarding these killings; that the family deeply grieves and regrets. We should pray for their hearts to be healed because "guilt can kill you".

Sincerely,
"So True"
