Hudson Family Memorial -- Monday Mourning

The Hudson family said today a memorial service for Jennifer's slain mother, brother and nephew will be held Monday morning at Chicago's Apostolic Church of God.

The service will be for invited guests only and, in lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the newly created Hudson-King Foundation.

Plans for a public memorial have not been announced yet.

106. Don't you think maybe she can't sleep? And maybe she needs to do whatever she possibly can to get her through this?

Does somebody have a copy of the Proper Way to Grieve memo and could you maybe post it?

Thank God she has something to help, even if it's only temporary and even if it's myspace.

107. Is she suppose to sit and stare at the walls? She needs a distraction or she will lose her mind. Who knows what the truth is with this entire situation but today everyone is attached at the hip to their computer. She could be logging on without thought or out of habit or to simply keep busy. She is laying her mother, brother and son to rest tomorrow, that is more than any human should have to bare.

108. I too questioned Julia's myspace behavior. For one, a lot of people on her top friends, including Jennifer, changed their default pic to Julian's when he was thought to be "missing." However, Julia did not, instead, she changed her pic to another one of herself in a blue shirt. Since she had time to be on myspace, she could of at least posted something about helping to Julian, but nope....nothing. That really surprised me. Another thing is, why wasn't Julia out searching for Julian? She just stayed put...if my child was missing, you better believe i'd be out searching. I hate to say it, but It's like she knew he wasn't coming home.....sad. I feel so bad for Jennifer.

My guess is that Juilia was too busy eating to search for her son. That thing is a TANK!

111. In answer to some questions I've seen throughout this and other threads...Why has the family remained "in seclusion" throughout this week? Why was Julia on MySpace last weekend instead of taking an active role in searching for her son?Where is Julian's father.... we''ve heard nothing from him?

Family members are actually staying at an undisclosed location under the protection of the FBI and Chicago Police Department. Those who went to the home the other night to get some family mementos did so with a police escort. I noticed that Greg King, Julian's father, was among them.

Two reasons for this... obviously for protection, since it's clear that this situation is not a simple one, so authorities aren't sure who will do what to whom next. Second reason is that authorities are still investigating and monitoring all aspects of these person's contacts, to see who might try to communicate with them, as they work on solving the case.

Police sources have also stated that one of these persons who is believed to have been involved in setting up the hit has finally decided to "snitch" and reveal additional information. It was this person's statement, NOT the "after the fact" report of a phone call from a neighbor, that led them to search the area where they were told the murder weapon had been dumped.

We may not hear more about any significant developments in the case until after the family funeral service on Monday, but things should come together fairly soon after that.

112. In my opinion, violent crime is not enternainment, it is real, and hurts the people left behind. I believe more education is needed to inform the public of the reality that families go through, who are affected by violent crime. In my opinion, there is nothing funny or enternating about violent crime. My heart truly goes out to the Hudson family. May they all find only hope, strength, comfort, peace and healing. during this very difficult time. This is a police matter and I have every confidence that Chiagco finest will do the right thing. Again my heart goes out to the Hudson family. May the deceased rest in peace and justice be served. I cast no judgement on anyone let the police handled this matter. IMO

113. it's unfortunate that people would rather sit in judgement than just waiting for the police to finish their investigation.

Can you imagine if this was your family and you heard people were making these comments?

Have some compassion.

114. Just a little premature to set up a domestic violence fund when nobody's been charged yet. When all the facts are known then and if it is domestic violence I can see it but not now.

120. As a Chitown native, my heart is breaking for J-Hud and the rest of her family. I can't imagine losing my mom, one of my brothers AND my precious nephew too. It's unimaginable!! Jen, please pray to God that God will give you the strength to go on and live the rest of your life to the fullest. God won't give you more than you can handle, and you are a very very strong person, so I feel you're going to pull through just fine!!

As for this story, the photos are wrong, and I hope TMZ will figure it out and change them. Also, we know a hellofa lot more being that we live IN CHITOWN and the trib is writing a lot more, there's a lot that has happened that points the blame to balfour, but also there's another person that they say may have been part of the slaining......only a matter of time before the truth really comes out!!
