Hudson Suspect Refuses to Get Hooked Up

The primary suspect in the murders of Jennifer Hudson's family insists he's innocent –- but won't take a lie detector test.

William Balfour told cops he had a "good relationship" with the Hudson family, reports the AP, but when they asked him to take a polygraph, he refused and "stopped cooperating" with detectives. Balfour still hasn't been charged, but cops still are honed in on him as the possible killer.

The handgun found yesterday by cops is thought to be a .45 caliber weapon, the same that was used in the murder of Darnell Donerson, Jason Hudson, and Julian King.

16. While my gut feeling is that he did do it or was involved, it is a smart move for him NOT to take a lie detector test. They are not 100% reliable and people who aren't guilty of a crime have failed that test just as much if not more than guilty people. That's why they aren't admissable as evidence most of the time.

As for that family, I won't judge the mom as people do react different to tragedy but to be on MySpace nearly everyday after your son has been killed and even during the kidnapping? Something stinks here.

17. Response to Rhonda: i believe i read somewhere (can't remember where though, if someone knows post it ) that there is a witness that claims to have seen the white suv on that friday in the street it was left in ( where they found Julian days later ), (can't remember if she said morning or afternoon) she claims to have been sitting in her parked car when she noticed the suv had gone around the block twice and then finally parking behind another car, she says she saw 2 men leave the suv and head towards another street on foot (that definately puts 2 people on the suspect list already) she said she couldn't see the faces clearly so she cannot say who it was or what they looked like. There was another witness, one of Balfours girlfriends neibours, that said they saw Balfour come to the girlfriends house in a white suv on friday afternoon and exit with what appeared to be a bottle of alcohol. If someone else knows the time differnece between these two accounts it could clear things up. Who knows really who killed who, but he is involved somehow or he wouldn't have been seen in that car at all, otherwise somebody's done a good job in framing him, it would be horrible though to believe he could kill the child in cold blood. It's tragic either way.

18. I think the FBI is on this case. I think they are waiting and letting Jennifer get thru this horrific tragedy. After the Services are over, they are going to drop a bombshell. I do not think William did this crime. I think he may know something from something he heard in the past, but I do not beleive he did this. Whoever did this has a evil spirit that has been in them for a looooooong time. I definitlely feel someone was JEALOUS of Jennifer's Success. They did not want to see her happy. When they found out she was engaged, that did it. I h ope and pray when Jennifer finds out who was responsible for this, she just let's the Lord our God Guide her in her steps. I'm also thinking she may know and is just holding it inside for now because it's too much. God Bless this Family.

20. I agree with fightforjulianking, this person has really read through all the BS and should be the lead detective on this......It seems like the most other commets, were written by OJ supporters.........

21. fight4julianking:

You are DEFINITELY on to something with your take of this case. I, too, believe Julia had something to do with this...or at least knows something about what happened. I peeped her MySpace page, and yes, I observed vulgarities throughout the picture captions. Another thing...why is that fool, William, still on her MySpace page...as a friend and in photos? Hmmm...makes me wonder. Something fishy is going on here!!! What has been done will soon come to light!!!

23. Why do blacks always say other blacks are innocent....reminds me of the OJ trial. Why don't we wait until all the facts come in

Posted at 12:49PM on Oct 30th 2008 by Tom

24. Tom:

You need to stop with the stereotypes because not all blacks say other blacks are innocent. You need to stick to the case and not generalizations about a race. God Bless you!!!

25. Have any of you ever had a polygraph test? They are more accurate than you think. Anyone saying innocent people fall into the traps of lie detectors are IDIOTS!

Posted at 3:11PM on Oct 30th 2008 by liedetector

26. Most police agencies use a polygraph as an interrogation technique. The examiner will tell the subject they failed, whether they did or not, trying to elicit a confession. Talk to a lawyer before making any decisions. If a polygraph is a good idea, use a certified INDEPENDENT polygrapher.

27. Maybe it's time to bring police Cmdr. Jon Berge out of retirement. He'll find out the truth.

28. IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE TO HOOK UP A LIE DETECTOR TO A PIECE OF WORTHLESS CRAP??

Posted at 1:50PM on Oct 30th 2008 by Sir Nigel Buttercrumpett

29. This is for Tom no I dont believe all blacks are innocentbut I will say this in the court of law we have a harder chance of winning than a white person now I stand behind my black brothers and sisters but whrn you are wrong damn it you are just wrong I strongly believe he had something to do with these murders and as much as I hate to say it I feel very deeply that the sister knows more than what she is saying

30. a hardened criminal could probably beat the test. And an innocent person might wrongly fail it.
So much for such tests
