63. 49. i myself happen to a white woman married to a black man with three beautiful bi-racial children. i dont want someone saying my children are black or white. i keep telling my husband everyone keeps conveniently forgetting that his mother is WHITE!!! my husband has NEVER given any attention to a presidential raec (and he is 37 but just not interested in politics) until now and the only reason, in my humble opion--and i have known him 15 years now--he is all on obamas jock ONLY because he is "black". so flip the coin, black people whine whites wont vote for him just because he is black, but hell, blacks are voting for him just because he IS black. when i ask my husband why he is voting for him he says "he makes good decisions"--ha, laugh my ass off. i tell him its just like him wanting black quarterbacks and head coaches to win--its just because they are black, not because he likes the team, per se. i cant wait for this freaking thing to be over and i hope against hope mccain/palin win, not because i think they are any better, just not as bad.

It sounds like you have a few issues in your marriage and with race that you should seek help for. Maybe after "knowing him 15 years now--You were initially on his JOCK because he was "black"(is it true what they say??) without knowing his ideals and beliefs. I think biracial children are beautiful! I see nothing wrong with anyone wanting to be called biracial. It gives both parents a chance to say "Hey i helped make this kid! Not just focus on one race and mix that childs mind up. If you decide to have a biracial child then you have a responsibility to teach that child to love and embrace both his white and black side! Stop with all this nonsense and saying most wanna be called black. I have not read any real polls out there to back up what you said. Further more it's wrong and racist! Also if i was married to a black man and me being white....If he acted racist around me or our child i would divorce him! Kids need to be taught to respect and love...not be racist! And what i said before about Obama still stands!! If he makes it as our president then i wanna see him called our 1st biracial president!! Because that is what he is and fair to our entire nation of biracial people!

64. To #14- What do you mean by fair? No one's complaining about the celebrities who support McCain. Last I checked celebrities are citizens too, so they get to vote as well.
Aside from the whining, I think the whole thing is funny. Everytime you turn around now a days, McCain supporters are complaining about favortism for Obama in the media. Well TMZ just pointed out the "favortism" for everyone, and your still complaining. The defination of Republican must be-- If we don't win, its not fair!!

72. I take care of two biracial children. One is white the other is black. The white colored child's mother is very dark skinned. The dark skinned child's father is light skinned. The children are beautiful. However, society has already put labels on both of these children. One gets called white the other black. When the white child is seen with her mother and me people assume I am the child's mother. Her mother is sad that this child is not darker in color for many reasons. Some I don't agree with but those are her feelings.

These children are biracial - not black or white. It is important for these children to know both sides of their families and cultures. So far, their parents are doing a great job. If Obama becomes president, he will be biracial to these children. These children, who find it difficult to find acceptance from either culture, need to see acceptance of this biracial president as a good thing.
