Celebrity Justice
Mackenzie Phillips - Diverted

An L.A. judge has just made Mackenzie Phillips' day.
Mackenzie Phillips: Click to watch
Mackenzie was ordered into a drug diversion program after pleading guilty to a felony drug charge, specifically cocaine. You'll recall Phillips was busted at LAX last August after baggies and balloons of coke and heroin fell down her pant leg at security.

Phillips was in court with her miracle lawyer, Blair Berk. The guilty plea will be dismissed when Mackenzie completes the diversion program. Once that happens the whole incident will be wiped from her record. Phillips addressed the court, saying, "I want to thank the Los Angeles Police Department and the Airport Police for stopping me -- they saved my life."

At one point during the proceedings, the D.A. turned to Mackenzie and asked her if she had appeared on "Diff'rent Strokes," she humbly told him it was actually "One Day at a Time."

The other charges against Phillips were dismissed.

After the bust, Phillips checked herself into rehab -- her 10th stint. This time there's a lot of hope. She looked great today in court. Here's wishin' ...

46. Leave Hollywood Mac, leave and run as fast as you can! 10 times in rehab, Good Lord. Don't be another statistic, leave it all behind and move to Montana or somewhere where you can live your life without stimulants. I agree with that other guy, celebrities get too many chances, let's see how that plays out with real people. Now is your chance. Take it and run. Just say no.

48. This sucks. About 6 years ago my son was busted for marijuana. He had six ounces and a scale and he was 18. He had a clean record before that but because we couldn't hire a high priced lawyer...he got a felony conviction which will follow him the rest of his life. It just goes to show that if you have money...you don't have anything bad happen to you. My son is fine now and doesn't do marijuana but because of his conviction he can't get in the electrician's union. He went to trade school but because of that one conviction....no one wants to hire him or let him in the union.

52. McKensie Phillips is a whining spoiled brat that has really nothing except some stupid sit com where she was the third star upstaged by her older mother and her hot younger dumb as a bag of hammers sister Valerie Bertinelli. Maybe reality has set in for her and she is now realizing that her star power shall never ascend again. She could apply to NASA for a job as a space explorer, she could run for Governor, she could work as a runway model, come on keep doing those drugs who cares it is great entertainment for all of us.

53. 95% of the time, once a drug addict always a drug addict. How many chances should she get before they lock her ass up.Drug treatment for her is just a way too keep her out of jail. After so many times at drug treatment we should face the facts it does,nt work for her. It's sad too say but we all know Where she's heading and how this most likely will end with her. OVERDOSE

54. Ha! Anyway she would have been any ordinary joe /person off the street, especially if she were hispanic or black, she would have been servin 20 to life without the possibility of peroll. She would have been slapped with every dug charge there is and would have been tried and accused of being a career criminal. This woman isnt trying to kick any habits. People be serious! She is an every day dope addict slash drug dealer with enough money and friends to beat her cases. If she actually thought she would do serious time do you think she would actually do what she's been doing?

55. I truly hope that MacKenzie gets rid of this demon. I always liked her and miss seeing One Day At A Time. It's a shame that they had to fire her off the show back then because she was very talented. You can't blame her for her drug problem. You can blame her late father who gave her the drugs as a kid. He was her demon. I hope God watches over her and heals her quickly, and for good this time.

56. Ms. Phillips may want to get her act together, if for no other reason than the fact that she's getting too old for this crap. At the end of the day she'll need to join AA, get a sponsor, work the steps, etc. Thes rehab places are only temporary fixes as her experiences will attest. Time to grow up Ms. Phillips and knock this silliness off.
