Hugo Chavez did say there will be a never ending war with the USA , after he massed his troops on the Colombian border (because of an event that happen in another country). What is even more alarming is the close friend, business & military ally Socialist Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Chavez (who supports the Sudan goverment and calls the accusation of genocide a ‘Lie’ and denies the holocaust) , does seem to bother any of the stars (& media) that visited Chavez

55. How is it that anyone can defend that. Lets say I am totally not for one or the other.. How could you want that woman to represent your country when she doesn't know the prime minister of canada or can't hear the difference between a montreal accent and a french accent. I think that there are so many "obamamanicas" because people are terrified to have that dolt anywhere near their lives. She completely unqualified and that mp3 obviously shows it. What more do her and mcains supporters need? This woman uses her children for her campain. Can't answer debate questions straight and clearly has no idea what the f*** she is talking about a vast majority of the time. Without giving specifics. It takes a moment of truth in the drive way of a plumber in Ohio to reveal his details. Obama is the one making the promises to the lowest common denominator: saying I'm going to only tax 5% of you and 95% will get a cut. With his spending increases the only way he can afford to tax only 5% is if the tax rate on those five is 100%. In reality if Obama should win all of us in America will HOPE to have some CHANGE left after Obama taxes us.
So you in Canada can keep your opinions and your socialist Ideas, We in the Real America don't want either.

The economic Depression is already on its way. Joblessness is rising, deflation is setting in (yes, I wrote that correctly: DE-flation -- see below), and the economy is continuing to fall apart. Things will already be a lot worse by the time January 20th rolls around, no matter who gets elected to take office on that day.

Making a few minor tax-rate changes will be like a drop in the bucket. This country needs the economic equivalent of major surgery, not simply a tax-cut band-aid.

Republicans and Democrats alike are now talking about a huge infrastructure program to create jobs and to force money into circulation. This would be similar to the WPA and other infrastructure-building, job-creation programs that were initiated during the 1930's during the previous Depression.

McCain would be just as likely to put programs like this into effect as Obama would be, because as I mentioned, both the Republicans and Democrats are now seriously considering this.

I mentioned deflation. It's the opposite of inflation: people don't have money, so they don't buy products like they used to. This causes inventories to rise and prices to fall. This, in turn, causes businesses to lose money. Some of them fail, and others cut back and lay people off. This leads to more people out of work who don't have money to spend, and the cycle continues. One of the defining characteristics of the last Great Depression was exactly this kind of deflation.

The bad thing about deflation is that it can not be easily managed by means of lowering taxes or interest rates. It's self-reinforcing and tends to be longer-term and more pernicious than inflation. It took more than ten years to get us out of the deflationary cycle of the last Depression, and it can be argued that the only event which was able to kick us out of that downward spiral was World War II, a major global catastrophe in which tens of millions of people were killed and many more suffered horribly.

So don't be naive. We are on the doorstep of a depression no matter who gets elected, and no matter which candidate ends up in the White House, he is going to have his hands full with a major economic crisis. And the tools that work reasonably well during good times (tax and interest rate policies) will be next to useless this time around.
