The French Disconnection

The real Sarah Fey-Palin was caught like a moose in the headlights yesterday by two Canadian comedians -- who duped her into thinking she was talking to French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Sarah Palin: Click to listen!
Ms. Alaska was clueless on Montreal radio station CKOI, as the fake Sarkozy awkwardly talked about his sex life with his wife and his love for the XXX-rated "Nailin' Paylin."

63. A hard rain is going to fall!

The Media has been going on about us entering a recession for over two years. By definition of a recession we are not in one yet. we have to wait and see if we have a second losing quarter. We may be in the early stages of a recession but it is still too early to be talking about a depression. The fact of the matter is that the worst thing we can do is to raise taxes in this environment. Unless we want to make sure we go into a depression. The last time this country was entering a recession and taxes were raised was the Carter administration.

It has also been said that the Great depression would have ended earlier if the county had not tried to manipulate the free market. It wasn't until the Government was distracted by WWII that the economy was able to turn around.

I think it is funny you mention WWII, since it was started by an political newcomer that was a very eloquent speaker, who drew large crowds of followers that loved his talk of Hope and Change for the German People.

64. If she knew anything about Sarkozy, she would know that he rarely speaks English, and wouldn’t have come out with those comments. Ohmygod, she's giggling when he said how he "loves to kill those animals." She also didn't know the name of the Canadian prime minister. And she was totally opaque -- how could she fall for this nonsense, and be so incredibly clueless? Terrifying.

Why don’t you pro-Palin people explain why Palin has turned her back on Alaskan natives -- many of whom live in abject poverty, with no indoor plumbing?

65. Uh...Crazy American

Actually, one of the biggest contributors to the Great Depression was Republican President Coolidge. He completely ignored the warning signs of the 20's and over-speculation in the stock market. He also gave the wealthy huge tax cuts, at the wrong time that fueled the depression; incredibly poor judgment. By the time FDR took over in the spring of 1933, the depression was well under way, and the banking system had all but failed. Do your homework; you obviously don't know what you're talking about.

So motivational speakers in a time of crisis are Nazis? For your information, other such motivational speakers were FDR, John F. Kennecy and Bobby Kennedy. Oops, that's right -- they were Democrats...so that means they were also nazis according to you.

For your information I have been out side of the United States, Traveling on my American Passport. I have never pretended to be Canadian. Not even when I visited Canada. Yes the American Health care system is expensive but the best always costs the most. I don't know any Americans traveling to Canada to have medical procedures done. I have seen Canadians come to America to have procedures done. Last time I was in Spain I spoke with a lady who had her breasts removed because a lump was found. They removed both breasts because of the risk of spreading. After the breasts were removed it was discovered that the lump was not cancer.

I believe in the Words of JFK, Ask not what your country can do for you. I don't want my government providing me with the best quality of life my taxes can provide. I want my government to let me provide for the best quality of life I can make for my self. That is the difference between me and the socialists in Canada. Aye.

68. To 63 Canuck

Thank you! My father's family were Canadians also; I spent many happy summers there. And you're right Canada is a beautiful country; so is America, but we're sliding down an abyss too many people refuse to see.

69. Sarah Plain-Pain is an IDIOT. NO SELF-RESPECTING, LOVER OF INTELLECT WOULD EVER VOTE FOR HER. This is why she had to attend multiple colleges before she got a degree.

I love the fact that Palin claimed she worked with Canadian officials on legislation but can't name the Canadian PM, or the French PM whom she loves and didn't know Quebec had NO PM. The politcal incompetence of Palin is past laughing at this point. I also love that she said maybe she'll run in 2012. Yeah, she really believes in McCain.

Once again, #1 and #31 who keep posting again and again are delusional Republicans living in an "IMAGINED" world. Now they're IMAGINING phonecalls made to Obama that were NEVER made.

I am overseas and voted already... for Obama!

70. Crazy American: Bull. The mortality rate in this country is higher than any other comparable country.

To A hard Rain: WWII was the reason FDR let the budget slip to deficit proportions and spending. One impacted the other. Bush false war has cost trillions...and we are in a huge budget deficit position and owe substantial foreign loans. And China is nipping at our heals. Do your homework.

71. Actually I know that #31 posts is real. It was given to our newspaper but they wouldn't publish it because we love Obama so much we didn't want anyone to find out about it. Scary isn't it!

72. To Hard Rain;

By the way, I agree that we are in for some tough times; but Obama and his administration will have a lot more ability to handle these problems than McCain/Palin. The presidency is a job that ages you dramatically faster than any other in existence. McCain not only hasn't the judgment to handle these problems, I doubt he will survive in office. That will give us Palin; then heaven help us all.

73. To #73 -- New York Times writer.

Right. Aren't you the same guy who also claims he works for the Obama campaign? Bless you, my son.

74. Lol. Thanks, "Pope." Right on target.

For a writer for the New York Times, his punctuation is abysmal.

75. Obama would be the worst person to lead this country during these hard economic times. He has NO EXPERIENCE!!! I'm surprised the guy knows how to wipe his own ass let alone run a country!!! Wake up people and vote Mccain/Palin on November 4th.
