100 years ago, it was also okay for a husband to beat his wife into submission...and that INCLUDED forcing her to have sex. 100 years ago, these little bitty kid-wives were also used as mechanisms of trade and political persuasion. 100 years ago, it was common for women to be perpetually pregnant from age 16 onwards because they were used to breed as many kids as they could try to keep alive (since most kids didn't make it past 5 years of age).

My dear, if you're going to rely on history to make your point, please be sure you know what you're talking about...ESPECIALLY the point that TODAY is DIFFERENT than 100 years ago.
