Tim Robbins Couldn't Vote -- Cops Called

Tim Robbins tried voting at his NYC polling place earlier today. There was some kind of ruckus and the cops were called.

Apparently, Robbins has been voting at that polling place for more than a decade, but today his name wasn't on the register. They told Robbins he had to fill out a provisional ballot but he didn't want to do it. An argument erupted between Robbins and the poll worker. Robbins allegedly got loud and the poll worker said he was calling the cops.

Robbins accused the poll worker of trying to intimidate him so he wouldn't vote.

Robbins went downtown to the City Board of Elections to get proof he was good to vote.

46. The jerk cursed out a poll worker who was just doing his or her job. And then he ran to the cameras and bragged about it. Can't inconvenience me, I'm a celebrity!!!

Robbins is a coc*.

47. He's an a**hole. Doesn't surprise me a bit. He got what he wanted...attention. He and that bug-eyed Sarandon deserve each other.

48. "Tim Robbins is one of the most talented human beings on this planet?" WTF? Has he found a cure for cancer or AIDS? Get a grip on reality, you ignorant moron.

49. What a whiny little Bitch. Shut up Tim, no one cares about you or your soapbox.

50. I wouldn't be surprised if Robbins deliberately skewed himself from the list, just so he can get on camera and boo-hoo. This guy has been a noodle-backboned whiner as the day is long. Boo hoo elections, boo hoo soldiers, boo hoo death penalty, boo hoo everything. Not surprising either that the cameras were conveniently placed at the polling staion for his "dilemma" to be filmed . Robbins probably tipped the cameras off himself.

They'll get it worked out, but Robbins is just trying to stage his own whining on film. He's done it before. No big surprise.

51. Sometimes I wonder if some of the posters here, even read the story, or watched the video. This man has voted here for over a decade. He suddenly cannot vote, without any explaination. I had this happen to me back in 2004. Luckily I still had my voter card with me, and worked it out. They bumped so many old voters from the polls and did not even inform them for many different reason. The main reason is they did not match what the state had in their databases, which have been proven to be faulty. I am glad TMZ brought this up. If some of you think voting is not such a big deal, great, don't vote, but some of us actually have people in our family to mourn who fought to make sure we kept that right to vote. Show a bit of respect to people who care enough to vote. Even if you agree with their vote or not.

52. Karma's a b*tch, old Timmy-boy. We've had to listen to you spout off your liberal views for too many years - I find it pretty ironic that it happened to him of all people. Yeah baby! Stick to your (albeit great) acting (Shawshank, anyone?), you dumb Hollywood whiner.

53. 9. America would be a better place if Tim Robbins couldnt vote. or his wife.

I agree, but she's not his wife. They're all too "progressive" to get married.

54. 14. I love how you are only reporting how the democrats are being treated unjustly. I guess you haven't heard about the black panthers in PA physically intimidating people at the polling center. HMMM...I wonder who they could possibly be voting for.

I heard about it & must say I'm not surprised one bit. Are we going to let them STEAL the presidency now? Why not, they've gotten away with everything else so far.

56. Tim Robbins lives in my neighborhood...he is a complete blowhard and regularly causes scenes...ask the counter workers at the Union Square Starbucks. He's an idiot...leave it to him to cause a scene...it's NYC---completely democratic---why would anyone try to stop him from voting? guess he needs some publicity... what a moron!

57. Hey, londonrules...

How hard is it to breathe with your head up Tim Robbins butt?

I'm a life-long Democrat and Obama supporter, but Robbins is a jerk...plain and simple, and so are you for believing that just because he's a celebrity that he's better than everyone else.

STFU already.

58. Tim was not the only one shafted at his NYC polling place this morning. 40 OTHER VOTERS were told they were not on the list. Fishy. At least Tim had time to sort it out, those others may have just given up and went on their way. That's not an isolated incident, that's a polling place problem. And using a provisional ballot?? If you have faith your vote will be counted properly by using one of those ballots, then you obviously haven't read up on American politics...

59. Why did he have to go nuclear on the poll worker and turn it into a "thing"? I have been an election judge before and all you can do is look for the name on the register. If it's not there, the person has a choice: call the number on the poster to make sure you're in the right place or straighten things out, or cast a provisional ballot. I'm sure he had a cell phone with him to go outside and make that call with. Why harrass somebody who's getting paid peanuts and is just doing his job?

60. When are our public/elected officials going to take care of business? There are voting/machine/ballot problems all over America. Who the hell is in charge here? They have had 8 years since the 2000 George W. Bush election travesty to get their house in order and here we are in the same needless mess all over again. Is this the Republican's way of trying to win the election, are they up to their dirty tricks again? Whatever it is, the people respnsible for seeing that everyone can vote without harassment or interference had better get their act together or be held legally accountable for the interference and fraud they are trying to perpetrate upon the American voters. It's a national disgrace that has resounding effects around the world.
