Tim Robbins Couldn't Vote -- Cops Called

Tim Robbins tried voting at his NYC polling place earlier today. There was some kind of ruckus and the cops were called.

Apparently, Robbins has been voting at that polling place for more than a decade, but today his name wasn't on the register. They told Robbins he had to fill out a provisional ballot but he didn't want to do it. An argument erupted between Robbins and the poll worker. Robbins allegedly got loud and the poll worker said he was calling the cops.

Robbins accused the poll worker of trying to intimidate him so he wouldn't vote.

Robbins went downtown to the City Board of Elections to get proof he was good to vote.

82. I care that Robbins coudn't vote. It doesn't matter if you are Republican or Democrat, its the one given right we have , and thats the right to vote. Shame on you for saying no one cares. Celebrities are people too. Quit being down on Demcrats, we are Americans first!

84. Why yell at the poll worker? He was only doing his job. Also... if I acted like that I'd probably get arrested. Tim needs to apologize to the poll worker and send him a gift certificate to go out to dinner. Tim should say "I acted like an ass and I'm sorry. For your trouble here is a $500.00 certificate to the Gramercy Tavern. Enjoy."

85. The same thing happened to a woman behind me today while I was on line to vote. She said she had been voting at that location for years but for some reason her name was not on the list. I don't know what eventually happened, but when I left she was still arguing with the people checking the list and they were saying she had to contact the board of elections. She was really pissed - I hope she was able to vote!

87. hmmmmm.. I wonder how many ppl turned away from polls are Democrats? Sounds fishy to me. How could anyone be voting somewhere for many years & suddenly, get turned away? IF another election gets stolen, the aftermath will not be pretty.
