Tim Robbins Couldn't Vote -- Cops Called

Tim Robbins tried voting at his NYC polling place earlier today. There was some kind of ruckus and the cops were called.

Apparently, Robbins has been voting at that polling place for more than a decade, but today his name wasn't on the register. They told Robbins he had to fill out a provisional ballot but he didn't want to do it. An argument erupted between Robbins and the poll worker. Robbins allegedly got loud and the poll worker said he was calling the cops.

Robbins accused the poll worker of trying to intimidate him so he wouldn't vote.

Robbins went downtown to the City Board of Elections to get proof he was good to vote.

91. He sucks I will not apologize for America the Greatest Country in the world. All these celebs who feel guilty for making so much money for doing pretty much nothing need to go away. I work and people who dont get quite alot for Free so no sympathy from me. I feel bad for people in between like me who work but make just enough to get screwed by having to support people who dont.

92. Judging from the comments made so far , Republicans think that if someone doesn't agree with them, than they have no right to vote. Hmmm...isn't it a Constitutional right to be able to vote? How un-American some people are.....
And yes, I happen to like both Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, because they care to speak up! I bet he would have been just as vocal about your right to vote if he saw it happen to you! We need more caring Americans like Tim!

93. It's mostly pure hate in these posts... even on Election Day. All because folks aren't one and the same. How boring a country this would be if we were all the same. Hey all of you hate mongers... RESPECT PEOPLE'S DIFFERENCES. You can call them a Republican or a Democrat or whatever you want... but don't be hateful with your comments, okay? Pull together people... it's because of your hatred that we're in the boat we're in...

94. Some states require that you re-register if and when you fail to vote in one or more previous elections. This law in in place so that when people move, their name does not appear on multiple registrars. Hey Timothy, did you even bother voting in the last election two years back? Voter turnout was in the single percentile. Wouldn't it be funny if this was all his fault? Pompous jerk.

95. Republican want people to vote but they want the Laws to be followed. Dems dont care about laws as long as they get people signed up no matter if they are legal or not Can you say Acorn?

96. I find it absolutely astonishing when these liberal, wining, overly pampered, pain in the backside actors believe they need to step up to the proverbial plate, voice their political opinions and expect the world to stop an listen, especially you Tim Robbins. Somehow you believe that America sincerely cares about you and your self-important, elaborately-worded rhetoric which only succeeds in making you sound more pretentious than you already are.

You live in a fantasy world with your multi-million dollar homes, exotic cars and plastic woman, believing that you’re just simple everyday Joe who everyone adores and that America will embrace every little bit of crap that comes out of your mouth simply because of who you are. The truth is Tim, we don’t care... you’re not real, and quite frankly your an embarrassment. You want all of us to believe that you are no different, yet when a problem occurs like today, you make it out to be some frickin' conspiracy. Suddenly it’s all about you, and because you’re Tim Robbins the world must stop and correct itself, just for you.

Today was a simple mistake that most likely will happen to democrats and republican alike. I know you feel more important than all of us, but your not. The evil empire and its flag that you so willingly choose to live under, did not conspire to cause you grief, it happens, welcome to the real world Tim, it stinks being a common Joe doesn't it...

97. Republicans suppressing votes? Since when is that news?

98. Libtard is right. This guy is both an idiot and an attention whore. Why he would refuse to fill out the provisional ballot when his name wasn't on the roster is anyone's guess, but I think it's because he thinks he's a lot more important than he actually is...

99. Wow, if you read the nasty comments people write about Tim Robbins being a "liberal", it makes you wonder, what kind of people are that rude and nasty? Hmmm, that would be conservatives. The sad thing is, most of them claim to be Christians. You would never hear Jesus being nasty and rude like the "conservative" commenters on this page. If my love for Jesus wasn't so strong, they would make me feel embarassed about being a Christian. Guess you all live in stone houses. Go Obama! Jesus loves you!!!

100. Religion has nothing to do with this issue. However, the people who are rude and nasty are the same people you're choosing to vote for. Obama is looking for a flock of sheep and he's found them. Go Obama, Allah loves you.

The fact is Tim Robbins believes he's more important than you or me and this situation will now give him the opportunity to press the issues with the likes of MSNBC Keith Olbermen, Bill Maher and the rest of his pathetic cohorts.

101. He's been added to the no-vote list. Good luck flying, Tim. It ain't Kansas anymore, Dorothy. It's a nation full of Joe the Plumbers who, ooops, aren't even licensed plumbers.

102. If this happened to another person while Tim Robbins was in line and Tim was on the list, he would have smiled and moved right along with no comment because its all about TIm. In fact if you listen to his tape, he mentions that six others had this problem, but Tim didn't offer them a ride to the court house, it simply was not his problem. Don't be so naive

103. Jesus might love Obama, and his idiot supporters, like Tim Robbins, but he would beg them to repent, since everything they stand for is in direct conflict to Jesus' teachings. I doubt Jesus would endorse gay marriage, partial-birth abortion and the moral decay this nation has fallen into. Of course, Obama, THE ONE, will bring about the CHANGE that we all need. Yes sir. None of us will ever have to worry about our mortgage or putting gas in our car ever again!!! Even if we don't have a job! Even if we've never worked in our lives! Obama will take care of ALL of us, and life will begin anew with birds singing, flowers blooming, and butterflies flying out everybody's butts! All of America will resemble Chicago, Obama's home base - that shining city on high where the murders this year outnumber the deaths in Iraq. Tonight heralds a new day! The day American elected a snake-oil salesman who very well could be the Anti-Christ. A day will dawn when evil will be defeated. The Anti-Christ will have his reign, and then be cast into the lake of fire with all those who follow him. Until then, hug yourself while you can! All you Obama supporters will rue the day you voted this fraud into office. Don't say I didn't warn you.

104. I think you need to look into who is trying to steal this election, just like they did the last two. First day of early voting, there were machines that changed all votes for Obama to McCain right in front of the voter's eyes, someone didn't think to make it wait to change after the voter was gone. In several jurisdictions the GOP has tried deleating hundreds of thousands of voters from the registry, in one place over 200,000. Some have been caught and ordered to restore these people. People passing out fliers telling people that since the turneout is going to be so large, Republican's vote Tuesday, Democrats on Wednesday. Republicans hired Private Detectives to and confront hispanic voters, they felt voted Democrat, threating to send the INS and have them investigated and or arrested, to see if they are legal, which of course scared them even though they were legal because they were intimating them. Family members had to straighten out the mess. The Republic Party sent out cards to the homes of Military Personell who are overseas, marked do not forward so that they wouldn't be sent to where they were stationed. When they were returned they had these people dropped from the voter rolls so that they never received an absentee ballot. Yes all of this has happened during this election season.

The reason Tim Robbins and other Democrats will not accept an Provisional Ballot is that in past elections is that for the most part it was Democrats that were amazingly "not registered" and after the election day they were tossed without being counted.

And us liberals are trying to steal the vote?

105. No matter what he is he deserves to vote.

Obama, I gave it to you this morning!
No on prop 8&4! (CA)
