You are no better yourself - trying to deny that people didn't vote for Obama because he's black. Everyday I had that fact shoved down my throat not only by the national and local media but people I personally know that are black. One of my black co-workers was even called a "traitor to her own kind" because she voted McCain. Now, that is racism indeed. Personally, I always look at the issues and don't agree with where Obama stands on most issues - in other words, I educated myself on what the man was about - not just his skin color. I have overheard people talking while shopping saying they were voting for Obama because he was black. When I asked those same people if they knew where he stood politically, they shrugged and said no. Well, I can definetly tell you I am not a breast - feeding mom of 6 living in a double wide in the middle of Kentucky. I am a career woman living in the Southwest.

So, go stick your head back in the sand because evidentally you are the one who is clueless as to Obama's popularity. I can only hope that the change he has spoken of for so long is a positive one. And quit trying to deny this has not been a racial election - that only shows your ignorance. Seems like you will believe anything the media tells you....

41. Anyone who says that Obama was not elected based on race is a moron, and obviously not very aware of what happened last night. Please go and check out statistics on the african american vote in this election verses previous elections. This man was elected for the color of his skin. A large precentage of these people would not have even voted at all had there not been a black man running for president. I voted republican because I am pro-life, and also believe that if you work for it you keep it. People who sit around and wait for their share dont deserve to have it. . I don't consider myself a racist because I didn't vote for a black man which is something that I have heard not directed at me personally, but at republican voters in general. I believe that people who would vote FOR someone based on the color of their skin are racist.

I am a Black woman and at first I was for hillary but when she didn't make it my support went to Obama and not because I am black but there was no other obvious good choice. the republicans only choose Sarah P. because she was a women and they thought it would get hillary's people but it backfired on him, 13% of the women voters voted for Obama.
