You have to admit that there are people posting on this site that're mad as HELL that Obama (a black man) has been elected to run this country. Don't Blacks have the right to comment right back? As far as I'm concerned To the Moon Alice was making a joke about it.

What, just because a black man has been voted into office you think racism has gone away? Just because a black man has been voted into office means that we all can forget about the HUNDREDS of years of oppression, hate and murder that has been suffered by African Americans?

Hey, this white girl is not THAT naive. There is still ALOT of hate in this country and THIS world and its not going to go away over night. The posts on this site are proof enough of that. I will say that Tuesday's election however is a step in the right direction.

Is THIS the excuse we whites will continue to use now? The fact that we elected a Black President excuses our poor race relations of the past and cancels out the hate we still cart around within us? Why not focus on the future of this country and how we can ALL contribute to digging ourselves out of this deep hole of debt, war and ecological meltdown.

If you want proof about race relations - there it is - black people need to give white people credit for electing Obama, too & the realization that not all white people are racists, nor did all our ancestors own slaves & all black peoples' ancestors werent slaves, either. The only people who focus on & label EVERY thing they see in the entire world as racism is black people & it is just not the root of all evil against them anymore. Majority of evils against black people are committed by black people, not white people. Maybe somebody cut them off in traffic because of being in a hurry & not because they are black. Maybe somebody served them slowly because they are a poor waitress, not because the party they are serving happens to be black. It should be embarrassing to Obama to know that the only reason he got elected is because a bunch of lazy, first time black voters believing as usual they are going to get something for nothing, finally got off their ass to vote, when they think he will keep every promise. You get angry because affirmative action gives jobs to unqualified blacks ( when white women are the largest recipients of affirmative action).
