And Palin was...mayor of a town with less people than my state's little league participants yet you folks thought she was qualified to be VP. Go figure.

Can you name any other family in America that suffered the assassination of two sons who were trying to serve their country after being placed in positions of the highest power by democratic election, only to be snuffed out by right wing nutcases who had no respect for democracy? JFK was NOT a great president, Ted Kennedy was the ultimate lear jet liberal, JFK jr was told not to fly and killed two of someone's daughters when he did, Kennedy cousins have paralyzed people in accidents, molested baby sitters, and exhibited deplorable behavior while being arrogant.

86. I guess its all falling into place now. Kennedy supports Obama in the primaries against Hillary and now gets a ambassadorship. Patronage as usual plus carroline gets her feet wet in high stakes politics in the movement towards her candidacy for the first woman president in 2016. It had nothing to do with Hilliaries abilites and more to do with rehabilitating the Kennedy Brand. Kennedys disgust me. Hillary got railroaded.

88. Caroline Kennedy has at least as much relevant experience as many US Ambassadors to the UN. In addition, she won't have to use the earphones all the time: she speaks fluent French. This is definitely an asset at the UN, since French is a common diplomatic language and also spoken in various countries as at least one of the national languages. There are several European countries where French is a national language, and French is one of the official languages of the European Union. Several countries in the Western Hemisphere are primarily or partially French-speaking. There are also a large number of African countries where French is the first or second language. Plus there are many countries around the world where French is commonly used even though not an official language. The very fact that she is not limited to English would definitely enhance respect for her in the international community, since Americans have a reputation for lack of knowledge of other languages.
