To those that told their children "finally I can honestly say you can be what ever you want now that we have an African American President" SHAME ON YOU that is a slap in the face to your fellow African Americans like Ms. Rice, Collin Powell, Supreme Court Justices, various Senators, Congressman, Govenors, Mayors, Generals in the Military, the president doesn't make the decisions alone, not to mention the athletes, lawyers, doctors etc To those of you who regestered for the first time to vote SHAME ON YOU you have had a voice for a long time you chose not to use it but instead bitch and moan about how your being mistreated. To all of you woman out there SHAME ON YOU for watching all the mudslinging towards woman trying to change the world. I don't care what party you belong too when did it become ok for us to sit back and let mainstream media cut our woman down on everything from what they wear to how they look. I for one will tell my daughter she can be whomever she wants to be no matter who is running this country, She will need to stand tall and fight for what she wants. To all of you who have claimed this is the most important thing to ever happen on earth, I will stand with you on that when an American Indian is allowed to be heard. I am glad that I am regestered Independent because after the way both Republicans and Democrats ran this election you won't be able to get me to change to either one of them

91. I know this will get flamed by someone out there, but Carolyn Kennedy has wayyyy more experience than Obama. I see him surrounding himself with very experienced people so far, which makes him.....as I said before...an empty suit with no experience, who speaks eloquently. I hope he listens and learns for the sake of this Nation.

I take comfort in the fact that Pres. Obama will have a VERY experienced Cabinet as well as some fresh blood down there in Washington. Wouldn't you think it unwise for him to do anything otherwise? I can see now that he won't get any slack from any of you who voted against him. Thats fine. We Libs didn't cut any slack for Bush (although it was warranted). Let us wait and see what happens. God knows this country is in a dark place right now and we should be very supportive to get us back on track.

Caroline has a degree in law, degrees from both Harvard and Columbia, has written two books about civil liberties, been very active with her father's library and other organizations.
