Forget Beyonce's alter ego, Sasha Fierce -- she has a new fantasy persona in mind ... Wonder Woman.

Mrs. Knowles-Carter tells the Los Angeles Times she is definitely interested in playing Wonder Woman on the big screen saying, "A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It's time for that, right?" She has already met with reps of DC comics and Warner Bros to express her interest.

Seeing as "Catwoman" and "Elektra" were both box office bombs, Bey might want to rethink the whole superhero thing.

Actually there are several white Green Lanterns, most notably Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner, both of whom Beyonce has expressed and interest in playing.

17. Hello, do you not remember that the original Catwoman was black - Eartha Kitt, then played by a white woman - Michelle Phifer? It is perfectly ok if Beyonce wants to play Wonder Woman (although I don't recommend it. I love you Bey, but you can't act!)

18. Catwoman was white in the comics and was originally plated by Julie Newmar (white), then Eartha Kitt (black)...then Lee Merriweather (white)
And Michelle Pfeiffer's portrayal was considered good, where Halle Berry's was considered crappy.


They stayed true to the original concept with Newmar only to swerve in the final season with Eartha Kitt.

That's all I'm saying.

So you fail at your Catwoman history.

And in other news, Captain America's sidekick The Falcon will now be played by a white man, Edward Norton in the new Captain America: the Original Avenger movie

24. FYI the lovely Lynda Carter is fact half german and half mexican...so technically Wonder Woman has been played by a woman of color. While I'm not against a black Wonder Woman, Beyonce/sasha/whoeversheisnow is not the person to do it, or even remotely able to pull it off.

26. I say no to Beyonce playing Wonder Woman or any other character. Please do not ruin a classic. I could see Angelina Jolie playing wonder woman. She's done Laura Croft.

29. bah, I don't care if she wants to play Wonder Woman.. She should darken her hair if she wants a shot though, nobody wants a gross orangey-haired Wonder Woman. I also agree with the poster that said Wonder Woman would blow as a major movie.. loved Linda Carter but the character was pretty lame by today's standards.
